You just turned the whole thread into off-topic. Bravo! Looks like you got too much time.Numanoid wrote:Iron Maiden had an instrumental called Losfer Words

Yup, I save a lot of time using plugs like V-Station, instead of having to spend time humping hardware

Whie i alraedy owned tzhe Bass Station plugin (and had an account for that alraedy) i never owned V-Station so far.jbuonacc wrote:the Focusrite DVD includes Novation 'Bass-Station' and 'V-Station', as well as the Focusrite 'Midnight Plug-In Suite'.Astralv wrote:It looks like DVDs for any issue can be downloaded. What is on these DVDs?
I have V-Station and Bass Station and I paid full price for it back in the day, if it makes anybody feel better. I was looking for the Focusrite suit. Is it on one of DVDs? What is included? Thanks.
i was able to download and register the Novation software completely free, didn't buy the magazine (digital or hard copy).
go to the MusicTech site, download the Issue #148 '(bonus) Focusrite DVD', then follow the instructions in the SOFTWARE folder to register/download.
** i just got 'V-Station' loaded and registered before writing this reply, just to make sure there weren't any roadblocks caused by me not actually purchasing it. no problems, up and running.
I downloaded the Bonus DVD from issue 148 and found that all you really need is the PDF with the instructions and the serial. For the imnstallation you could use the latset version from the official website (currently v2.3).
Used the "Register New Product" at my account and selected "MusicTech 2015 DVD Promotion" from the drop-down menu. After adding the serial and confirming a product with teh same name was added to my account. At this 3 downloads and activation codes for the Bass Station, V-Station and the Midnigh suite were shown.
After starting the plugin, opening the activation website from there and adding both the code and some of my personal data (Name, Country, e-mail) i got a key file that finally made the plugin working afterr loading it (shows my name at the right part of the GLOBAL menu of the plugin now).
The 64-bit VST2 so far works nicely in Live 9.2 64-bit here. Many thanks to MusicTech, Novation and Focusrite for this.

When i installed the free copy of V-Station i thought it is quite strange tehy give this away for fre but so far everything seems to be OK and it is indeed the full featured plugin. I had used the official download of the latest version (v2.3) and this worked nicely with the free license from MusicTech.

Also seems to be able to import banks from the K-Station hardware and also export to K-Station (V-Station seems to be an emulation of it). Have not checked this yet.Numanoid wrote:There is also loads of free soundbanks to download, thanks to the creators

VStation 2.0 can no longer be activated. Those of us with v.1.7 can still use ours. And we Linux users will probably always be able to use it. I’m posting more than anything to point out a valid example of why I only use serial number authentication that doesn’t tie itself to anything.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Oct 04, 2012 3:44 pm C-R is not a problem, you guys are bloody overreacting! You can generate the licence file from a computer that's online, then just transfer the file to your DAW and install it. Totally a non-issue. The file even gets e-mailed to you so you can use it on any number of computers, and basically as I figured it out, you just do this once and you're done with it.
A complete non issue.
