Sorry for the upset my post caused - it wasn't intentional. :dog:
I really like Tony's stuff and have bought all of them, and use all of them, including VUMT.

I really am going to lie down for a while, now.

Thanks Tony.
This was the best purchase this year.Three compressors with a lot of different sounds for this price is really "Mission Impossible 9"!

Thank you again.
All the best.

Oh wait, I'm a forum user - and I don't agree with with the mass majority. I also find bugs that others don't (good beta tester traits btw), which in turn is all in my head. But hey - at least I don't hide behind an avatar.
it's...

it's...

well, it's not like that - actually I even like you (the way you can like a person on a forum you don't actually know)

it's just - well, I don't even want to insult you - but... the way you are sort of omnipresent and then often seemingly compulsory are writing stuff that's like (say) 50% valid and 50% off topic and/or nonsense and/or irrelevant... and... well, so often it seems to me you are just writing these bloated forum posts in order to appear VIP (in a way not quite unlike Ingonator, who has to use any possible and impossible chance to boast about what he's currently beta-testing)...

well - like I said I actually like you and I even think in real life we might get along great - but in threads like this one I find it damn nigh impossible to stand you... and I'm sorry for it, because I think you are actually a really nice and knowledgeable guy

+1 for MJUC and jr.

I use VUMT all the time but hadn't realised how great my other GAS Fueled Klanghelm purchases were before now i.e, SDRR and DC8C2 (a name that always reminded me of ''Developer Challenge 8''). All top notch stuff. :tu:

The tones I dialed in aren't particularly aesthetic... but take it as information on how the tubes react if driven pretty hot with this bass seq.

1 - dry loop
2 - MK1
3 - MK2
4 - MK3

I recommend you download the file since the online preview should sound kinda lo-fi.
Thanks for the demo. There is absolutely something special sounding about these :)

I keep forgetting that he manually does the orders. Gonna have to wait awhile for this. Shiet!

Me to, it's 6.03AM in Berlin now, he must be staring to stir, hope he doesn't want to sleep in on the weekend, or have a shower and freshen up, or have breakfast . . . :-D

Ahaha. I know right. I'm about to just give up and call it a night. Then get a nice start with it in the morning. I can't wait to try it on vocals!

Thanks for all the explanations of the "j," right, wrong and funny.

I've already been saying m-juice in my head... and now moo-juice, as in milk (and honey?).

But, musey (or however) is kind of musical, no?

LOL. I'll do that now

I make up new word:

Composity!

Compression with attitude or a certain long-winded poster?

You decide.

It has no "j," by the way.

Seriously, though (and on the actual topic):

BRAVO! (again) for these compressors!

Tony is awesome! :hail:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Could have gone the PM route, jens.
Would have saved a lot of OT bantering.

Can you really judge that from my posts alone?
Ever got the impression that I may be knowing "more" than I actually let on, or even allowed to?

Also - "omnipresent" is really a strong word, if the last topics I posted in recent weeks could be counted by 10 fingers. Actually, I mostly only post in the Production Techniques section - in the KVR Mix Challenge threads to be precise. I did write a lot of posts in recent weeks, but ultimately deleted them prior to posting.

jens wrote:and... well, so often it seems to me you are just writing these bloated forum posts in order to appear VIP (in a way not quite unlike Ingonator, who has to use any possible and impossible chance to boast about what he's currently beta-testing)...
Well, since he is a beta tester and is proud of it, or is maybe even a so called "power user", can help out faster and just as good as the developers themselves (takes the workload off of them). Therefore knows some odds and ends what is working and where limits are reached... Is that actually a bad thing?

You (as general user of this board) walk a very fine line. On one end you try to help others (may it be positive or sadly negative), on the other you try to do conversation in an as respectful way as possible. During these conversations, certain opinions and favors appear of course. But say just some slight bit that goes against a certain users (singular and plural) believe or (manifested) experience, and hell is breaking loose. Come on a bit too strong (since you are actually knowledgeable in a certain are), maybe because a comment got down the wrong pipe, and hell is breaking loose.

Which brings me to another very fine line to walk:
Either say "okay... I believe that you have experience in that section, it's cool. But please hear me out/But could there be a different solution". Or you go the sledgehammer route, turn absolutely vile "you're wrong! STFU!". Plenty of users come to mind that do this, and this is happening way too often recently. From company CEO's even(!).

Seen several sides of the medal in recent years. And this really bothered me, even drove me to the brink of going apesh*t. Which in turn only approved of the behavior of the trolls that were suddenly on this bandwagon as well, showing their superiority. And those people easily forget that there is still a human being on the other side of the keyboard. Maybe this human being is of different opinion, or maybe the intentions were really just to help - it doesn't matter.

Which brings be back to my comment above: I reduced my presence at the boards unless I feel really confident that I can help, and that my help/knowledge is appreciated. My live behind the keyboard is busy enough as it is.

It's hard to judge by mere words alone. Again, chances are that there is actually "more" behind this, that a person is letting on or is allowed to do so. But to be honest - what comes around, goes around, jens. I can more than relate, been there. I also hate taking a look in the mirror myself.

But this is why I offered the PM route. Several times even.

Want to continue this, clear it even, PM me.
The same invitation goes to everyone that things "ugh.. shut it already!".

It's been enough OT.

To all others...
Thanks for being calm and understanding to Tony's rare appearances due to his workload.
Please enjoy MJUC / MJUCjr. Got Q's, fire away.
