So, it's been almost a year since I started. So far it's been Logic and midi controller. Controller is dying slowly.
I have saved 400$ so far and my plan was to get Maschine around new year.
I think I'm close a grand near that time.
Circuit might be good for me. It's not that complicated. I watched all videos, manual was pretty clear too. I wanted something physical to work with. It works as a midi controller also. I could take it with me also, works as a standalone also. I was thinking to buy iPad, no need to rush that either.
Simple enough for newbie, solves some problems. Price is decent.
What do you think?

Glad to hear you're considering Circuit Daniel, it's a deceptively powerful and feature laden piece of kit, but very intuitive and easy to use. I would agree that it's a great introduction to the world of groove boxes and external hardware.
Let me know if you have any questions.

I can work with those sounds, even they might be limited. What do you mean about it not being intuitive?GHOST19 wrote:I don't really see the point of this hardware tbh. Very limited in its range of sounds. It looks fun for jamming around but not very intuitive or powerful.
As I see it it could be helpful to start things quite easily?

Maschine and circuit is a bit apple and orange for me. Maschine is locked to your computer, so you can only use it together with it. Is that what you need? Circuit on the other hand have built in speaker and is not locked to your computer, so you can carry it around and play with it for inspiration.
Do you want to play groovebox during your toilet break? Circuit can help you. Maschine... not really.
But, maschine is a different beast when it comes to production. Tight integration with Native Instrument product, excellent sound bank, and it comes with komplete select.

Maschine with komplete is indeed pretty deep and powerful. I have looked info around those. I'm not sure do I need Circuit in toilet, but certainly I would use it as a standalone. It can be my midi controller also. Seems interesting groove box.
I have time to think about my options. Let's see how much exactly I have by the end of the year. Circuit with second hand BS 2. I do see benefits in Maschine also.

I'm a Maschine owner/user and just bought Circuit.
I've had it 3 days and am seriously impressed.
It's a really fun box. Sounds much, much better than I ever thought it would; with the new Isotonik Studios editor - the depth you can go to with those 2 synths is just astounding!
Definitely not a replacement for Maschine for me... Maschine is the main piece in my studio. I make sample based stuff and its workflow suits my brain. But it's a great addition. A really nice sounding instrument that's really, really fun.
