@touchscreen for those that have not experienced it: It's lightyears from mouse/keyboard or physical controllers. Impossible to explain unless you've experienced it yourself but it's really slick. Still think that by and large it's a few years away (which is a bummer)
I disagree, its another useful method of control and input, a mouse/touchpad, keyboard and midi controller still has its place.

Nothing beats tangibility.

I find my 23" hard work for alot of tasks and the 'old skool' tools make life much easier.

No mac?? It's a shame, although they have said touch screen support doesn't seem likely at the moment. Apparently removing a headphone jack is more important

Seems it has already been launched, according to the news sidebar.
Looks promising, at 150 bucks I wonder whom they target.
I am curious about the included samples, that aspect is the main reason I am still using Mixcraft.

How big is the demo version? Don't want to sign up if the demo is too big for me to download anyway :P

demo is 160mb. can't try out right now. it doesn't contain any visible help file or manual, just an exe and several dlls. some of them go by the name qt5something. at least some hint for cross-platform capabilities...

Yes, that would be Qt C++ framework, which is cross platform.

When I'm using my little ipad app for reason it's crazy how much better it is than mousing things. The visual and being able to use the finger to control is much faster. Not that my mixes really sound any better, but I'd rather be able to use it that way and get crap than having to hover with a mouse :hihi:

As far as lumit goes, I'd like to know if there are any limitations to the demo.

EDIT

totally unlimited 30 day demo.

BTW, I found this.

lumit llc sent a warning today not to change the default installation location, because the program folder you set might not be created and files would be put into the directory above. uninstalling could then remove everything in that folder. if you do not change the default install path (or take care the folder you want to install it to exists because you created it manually - but that is just my guess) you are most probably safe.
they're working on a fix.

I would like to see more multi-touch here!
It's build to be a multi-touch DAW but mostly they just use the mouse input!
Has it a proper virtual midi keyboard with XY pads and live modulations etc.
That's what holding me still back from a windows touch device and those DAW's yet. As great as it all sounds it still looks a bit half baked in this area!
I really hate the limits of iOS and the iPads but there multi-touch is still far better.
So would it be possible to use this 100% via multi-touch input?

A little ugly, but good for competition....

Ugly? Judging from the screenshots and video it looks very user-friendly, which is what matters to me.

I also don't like the overall look but it seems to work very smooth and maybe it's skinnable?
So if Moog, Korg and a few iOS developers could release now their fantastic multi-touch apps as VST i could fall in love!
All the "normal" plug-ins look like a pain to use via touch!
What i like with multi-touch is the flexible and direct way to interact with sound modules in a way that's never possible and so much fun.
So i still prefer a lot of my tiny apps over some huge plug-ins i have.
I hope this evolves in a good way!
Add things like 3D touch and it's heaven!

It's just a matter of taste... I prefer dark UIs...
