Did you try to see with a good pair of speakers or Q-Tips?
:tu:

Yes Sir...So many people are listening with their eyes these days...

In saying that however,I do like the Harbor Blue skin for Dune 2.5
No auto tune...

Nice! I didn't see that one (downloading).
Definitely better for my speakers :D

Yep...

That Harbor Blue skin sounds great

Not even man. I've resorted to using the original skin I just wish someone could hook this synth up.
I like this one http://www.satyatunes.com/web/glacier-white.php

Would have been cool if the guy didn't let his ego get the best of him and slap his logo dead center on the GUI. No thank you.

Someone will always find an excuse to slag something off..

He made the skin, his tiny logo doesnt affect its performance in any way.....

Look at that Synaspe logo...they must ave a massive ego! Seriously, get a life. Its a musical instrument, dont stare at it, make some noise.

Certain 4op configs are already possible in D2, e.g., the last 4 of the TX81Z. Even some 6op configs are possible. Furthermore, due to D2's architecture, you can go even further :)
Oh! Do you mean for example like this:
Osc 1 FM
Osc 2 FM (whatever algorithm)
Then in modulation matrix I choose Osc 1 as resource and the destination like Osc 2 FM AMT A (for example)?
So, in this case I connect the two oscilators creating 4 to 6 Op FM. That gives many possibilities if I understood it right :) Not sure how many possible algorithms I get but I need to read the manual and search for such info.
That's one thing that you can do, although you are limited to sine operators and technically osc1 is ring modulating osc2 FM-A, although I think that is only a minor issue in the grand scheme of things. You can also use wavetables as well to do alternative waveforms as found in the TX81z.

Supposedly the original skin had a really tiny, tiny logo but some people asked him to get a bigger one...

From what I can tell Satya seems to be a nice and talented guy.

Look the second link in my sig to see how to do 2-op Yamaha style FM (phase modulation). By using multiple voices you can do mos of the parallel algorithms. There's a sine wavetable to download from there to do this. I'll be putting up the TX waveforms there soon, as well as OPL3 waves and more exotic ones of my own design :)

Edit: using morphing wavetables to phase modulate a carrier oscillator is also possible and much more interesting 8)

Hmmm, that slipped from my mind. So, when we modulate the Amt of the operator, we are Ring Modulating it?
But as I know, modulation between two operators, we are raising the AMT of it in let's say in NI FM8. So, are you sure that in the modulation matrix of Dune 2 (as in my example) I'm not making an algorithm of 6 operators? I said that because I tried to modulate Osc 2 by Osc 1 while I lowered the volume of osc 1 to 0, so I heard only Osc 2. Now when I change the modulation amount of Osc 1 -> Osc 2 Amt Op A, the sound also changes like when you play with the FM8 modulation amount between the operators. I haven't copy or replicate this in an FM synth though, so I'm not sure of what I think.

I know Ring Modulation is about Volume modulation while FM is Frequency modulation. So, is it what I did in Dune 2 modulation matrix mixing two kind of modulations, RM and FM? I think I'm confused here :hihi:

TX81z is 4-FM operators synth right? I believe it would open more sound possibilities if there is an 4-FM instead of the 3-FM although you had me appreciate more the Dune 2 modulation matrix :D

Thanks a lot for both your explanation and your resources in the website :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Obviously. I just finished pushing old ladies in front of oncoming traffic. Now what's left to do? This.

Show me where I said that it affected performance. Did you actually read what I wrote before you decided to troll my opinion? Real super hero you are.
AnX wrote:Look at that Synaspe logo...they must ave a massive ego!

They're the developers just in case you weren't aware. You might want to go another route if you're trying to make some kind of point with that statement. It didn't work. You should ask for some help next time.

In the future, I'll try real hard to change my perceptions to what some random little internet troll wants me too, or thinks I should perceive.

I get it man, my preference would be not to have it dead center on the browser screen. The only name that belongs on a plugin is the developers. I'm a purist like that.

If it offends you that much, colour it out. You prob enjoy a bit of colouring in.

To be honest, i don't know whether i would allow such a logo on my synth either. Or selling 3rd party skins for my synth. Feels wrong somehow. But hey, it's Synapse's decision, and that of the skin creator.

Which synth is that?
