I was able to reproduce the crash immediately, so I am sure everybody is affected.
Thank you so much for discovering it!
I try to find a fix tomorrow that really works.

When I open RC and try to open a file it says "The composition has not been saved. Would you like to save it?" It should not trigger that warning when I have not even changed a single thing. I just opened RC and then tried to open a file.
I noticed it also does this if I try to start a new file or if I close the program without editing anything. Very annoying since it adds unnecessary steps to every session.

3.1b6-x64 crashes on start for me (from the installer or from double clicking it, crashes very quickly says "Loading libraries..." then changes to "Setting up user interface..." then it crashes, almost right after the status switch. I had to roll back to the shipping 3.04 since (like an idiot) I cleaned up my archive of beta installers.
Here's a call stack from the crash:

I can also provide a debug dump if that would help.

This is worrying. Nothing substantial has been changed recently.
What was the last beta version that did not crash? I suppose 3.1b4. I checked all changed since then.
Matt, if I upload a version with full debugging info, will you send me the same stack trace?
That would help a lot. My window10 machine is unusable right now.
Thanks!
Attila

I thought I was downloading 3.1b4 for the EZDrum/Keys fix but but got 3.1b6 so must of missed it.
There must be problem with Toontrack as pgmusic apps load a saved project but don't load the sound libraries until you open the vst window.

Yes, I can do that. I'm not 100% sure what the last non-crashing version was for me. I'm sure I skipped build 3.1b5, but I'm not sure about 3.1b4. I tried most standard tricks, deleted my settings. Deleted all the files in the application dir and reinstalled. Nothing seemed to help. But re-installing the ship release everything works just fine, so I don't think it's a simple system config problem.musicdevelopments wrote:This is worrying. Yes, John, I agree, it annoyed me too. It is fixed in v3.1b7 (downloadable now).JohnBullFrog wrote:When I open RC and try to open a file it says "The composition has not been saved. If you are in a project, you save it, open another project it keeps the same vst in the track as the last project, so I have Stevie Ray Vaughan playing Bagpipes instead of Guitar
If you save the project, click new then open another project it will load the correct vst in.
