Cubase Summer Upgrades

Steinberg has a 40% off of upgrades promo going on now.
The price looks OK, but they've stated that the next versions will drop 32 bit vst's and the bridge.
And I'm wondering if the next versions will be out soon.
If so, it would probably mean another charge if it falls outside the grace period.
Has anyone gone for it?

I've got the upgrade but I won't register it, simply because they normally release the next version around winter time so I'm expecting cubase 9 before Christmas.
When it gets announced I'll register my licence and get a grace period upgrade to v9 and be able to use 8.5 as well.
That's my plan, I can wait for December, if it isn't released by next year then I may rethink.

I'm pondering doing that too.. I bought Cubase Artist 7 during an August sale several years ago and held on to it until October when 7.5 was released before I registered it, which gave me 7.5 at no extra cost to me.
Too bad I was unaware of their upgrades sale a few weeks ago.. that one looked to have included old version to new version and not just lesser version to greater version (such as Artist to Pro).

The resale value on KVR is very low. You can't update old Cubase version for a reasonable price. And it has a dongle.
But Cubase is a wonderful DAW! And this a very good sale if you have Cubase LE.

Coupon code CUBASE30 doesn't work for me.
Anyone else? Plan on buying the upgrade now and saving for v9 grace.

This time the coupon goes through but the price doesn't change.

The prices aren't for your current level of cubase to upgrade to a new version of the same level. It is only for upgrading levels such as LE to Artist or Artist to Pro. Not from Pro 6 to Pro 8.5 or Artist 8 to Artist 8.5keyman_sam wrote:kiezum wrote:The coupon is UPGRADE16 for 40% discount.

I believe there was another sale a couple of weeks ago for the type of upgrade for which you are looking. (I sadly missed it too)
Beyond that, if you are going for the right type of upgrade offered in this deal, the discount is already rolled into the price. You should see a line drawn through a larger price and a lower price beneath it. If so you're already getting the discount.

Ah thanks for the info. One more reason to stick to 7.5 (though I haveVitaminD wrote:The prices aren't for your current level of cubase to upgrade to a new version of the same level. Actually I'd like to see some HS SE to full version for cubase owners deal sometime. That would be sweet.

Wish they'd fix the advert though as that's a little misleading. Current text:
VitaminD: I searched back through their news history, do you remember whenabouts this was? Or where it was advertised. Would like to maximise my chances in future.
Or ideally... update the offer to include those who've actually invested in the flagship products. To take advantage of this exclusive, time-limited offer, select your update or upgrade and enter the following coupon in the shopping cart (please note that the deducted price will only be displayed during checkout after you have entered the coupon code in the shopping cart):

Someone in the past week made mention of it in the Marketplace Chat thread.. Looks like it was active until the 7th of July. Too bad!fandango wrote:Wish they'd fix the advert though as that's a little misleading. Current text:
