This sounds like just like that old 2002 thread on how to turn the original Gmedia Oddity 1.0 into a Polyphonic VSTI. Maybe it still exists.
There are several Chainer VSTI options that may be of use.
Plogue Bidule
DDMF Metaplugin
Sonic Arts Freestyle
Bluecat Patchwork

First i want to say that i do not want to derail this thread (again...) with further discussions of how to do a proper setup for creating a polysynth from multiple monosynth instances. What was posted above is more a practical use of this.electro wrote:This sounds like just like that old 2002 thread on how to turn the original Gmedia Oddity 1.0 into a Polyphonic VSTI. The main point of my example posted above was not to add polyphony to The Legend as there is a dedicated 4 voice poly mode but to use the 4 voice Unison mode polyphonic as this one is monophonic.
What i want to do is to route notes/voices of played chords to their own instances of the synth in realtime, not to chain plugins like in a typical plugin chainer. So actually a "Polyphonic Voice Distributor" plugin is needed, not a plugin chainer. From the plugins you mentioned i used the demos of Patchwork and Metaplugin and did not find a poly voice distributor feature yet.
FWIW the Polymind plugin automatically cycles trough the voices/instances (which you could see if you play the same note multiple times in series). The "trick" that it works without additional MIDI routing is that it uses a master plugin and multiple slave/satellite MIDI plugins for each voice/instance of the synth (up to 16).

The Legend has been updated to v1.1. Velocity and Aftertouch is added and also BP filters.
The website doesn't mention it yet, but if you go to the download section it is there.
Very cool update!

I could confirm that the download for the Legend v1.10 VST/AU plugin is available. An official announcement should follow soon.Kees49 wrote:The Legend has been updated to v1.1. Velocity and Aftertouch is added and also BP filters.

New features are indeed velocity/aftertouch support (back panel) and the BP filter modes.

BP filters with the same Model D filter topology sounds pretty nice! And the velocity and aftertouch add a new dimension to the instrument's expressiveness. Good job Synapse, thanks!

Great! I'm going to download the demo now and see if it resets the previous demo usageKees49 wrote:The Legend has been updated to v1.1. Velocity and Aftertouch is added and also BP filters.

I've checked it! Great! The Polyphony I already found a good use for it (not exactly chords, but something like two lines of pads)
Very happy, but ..
I tried to buy it with PayPal but it failed! Anyway, I'll wait another hour or so, then I'll see if Paypal paid to Synapse Audio or not
Edit:
Oops! It seems I don't have enough money in my account, so that it declined
Anyway, I'll be buying it next week then. The new version has given me automatically 30 days of demoing
So, it is good news for people like me that couldn't (for some reason) demo The Legend enough to decide.

This has some stuff that Monark doesn't have. Like 4 voice polyphony, onboard fx, bandpass filter, velocity and aftertouch have been added now... i guess only you can tell yourself if that is worth to have both or not.nicksohn wrote:I already have monark.

Of course i have to demo myself and decision is all mine, but i just wanna know you guys thought.

I have Monark but I'll get The Legend. There is a slight difference in the character (as mono). I don't care which one is nearer to the original, but The Legend can be more 'round and juicy' than Monark. It also has the unison and the Poly-4 mode, which can make a difference in playing the synth of coursenicksohn wrote:I already have monark.

And The Legend does not require the Reaktor framework.......
