My submission:

The archangel Gabriel is tempted by the devil. I'm not a religious guy, I have no idea where this track came from! I've written a listening guide on the soundcloud page. I'm not sure if that is in the spirit of the osc, so feel free to disregard it, or use it as additional criteria to grade it on - it's up to you!

For anyone who's listened to my track, I've updated my track with a listening guide - feel free to ignore it or read it out of curiousity. It was the story that guided how I wrote it. I think this is a hold over from my orchestra days, where sometimes the conductor would explain to us the various parts of piece, with the intent of the composer. Enjoy!

Here's my entry for this month. I got caught up in the pure, invigorating, elecronica sound-making potential of these nice old synths (especially that S/H circuit), but threw in a few more melodic sections. All sounds are original and I used all three versions of the synth. The song is a bit of a metaphor for a typical day in my life -- periods of discordant chaos alternating with more organized moments when I have to be around other people.

Hi BJ and everybody,

stumbled across this little gem: Fathom Synth https://www.fathomsynth.com/
I do remember checking this synth out when it was first released, and while I was impressed with the UI and concept, I thought the actual sound was on the weak/thin side.
I've spent some hours now with the fresh of the press version 2.0 of Fathom. I love wavetable synths - this is another one and I was able to reuse some of the things I have prepared for Thorn - I bet an OSC with this thing would be tremendous fun.
Thought the version number indicates a certain level of maturity, there's still plenty of room for improvement and some minor bug fixes I'd say. Especially I'd say perfromance tuning could be a valuable activity for the developers. Only DrBob with his brand new gear would shrug off and say there's no such thing like a performance problem :D
But still I stick with my recommendation to give Fathom a try in one of the upcoming OSCs. May be not the next one, yet. I have suggested the Fathom guy to think about supporting OSC already as well. Let's see what he is saying and - most importand - what our mastermind BJ will say...
