New EQs from kiloHearts that were released late last year. Haven't seen much chatter about them. Definitely a bit of a "fab"-looking interface. They could be picked up for pretty cheap if bought with the The Works bundle on their holiday sale (about $6-10 each).

One the coolest features on the Carve EQ is the sketch tool to draw a curve. For those of us that want to feel like EQ'ing sessions are ocurring in Photoshop. :hihi:

Definitely seem to be some copycat features here to some of the heavy hitters, but also adding some interesting ideas.

Anyone tried these yet? Opinions?

These are very nice light-weight eqs.
I have both as they were no brainer cheap for me. Like them a lot, even if I don’t particularly need them.

The slice eq is way simpler to eq channels separately as compared to proQ2 imho. Other than that, can’t really think of much other than the snap in capability to put them over ProQ or similar. Definitely a great alternative if you don’t happen to have ProQ or the like.

The carve eq is only slightly less handy to me than the other.

Seems pretty impressive that they can cram the majority of the ProQ2 features, UI slickness, and functionality into an eq that costs way less.

Sure the slice is easier per channel but mastering and that match on carve is great too with presets like pink noise. Got Great deal for works around the holidays myself.

Yes, that was a fantastic deal.

Wondering if they’ll throw in some more presets in future updates.

Both EQs are just wonderful inside (and outside) of Multipass.

Slice EQ is delightful to use, a great dynamic EQ combined with Bitwigs modulation. It makes me wonder if a dynamic EQ is on the way from kiloHearts. :phones:

The addition of solo'ing bands would be nice.

The ability to change curves types once created would be great. This caught me out when creating modulations inside Bitwig. Or am I missing something? ...please let me know

The ability to tweak the interface colours would awesome, purely cometic of course. When colour schemes are close but not the same, they clash. Imagine altering the colours to match your DAWs GUI perfectly.

are these linear phase or minimum phase EQs?

Minimum Phase...

One other nice thing about Slice is because of that offset knob, you can use it as a "roll your own" filter (works nice in Phase Plant).

I would rather they rolled them both into one product really

I use Slice EQ constantly in my projects-great product!
