Which one will be better for recording vocals as well as creating sounds?
I've read that Pro tools is better for mixing stuff etc but Ableton is such an impressing space for creation
What do you think?

Don't rely on things you have "read". Try them out. You surely have more requirements than "recording vocals" and "creating sounds" (whatever that is). :phones:

Its Simple.
What are you planning to do more of.
Are you planning to use a-lot of Midi and Make primarily electronic music more ? Use Ableton.
If your planning on recording a-lot of instruments and editing Audio then Pro Tools.
Both can record vocals really.
Its Multi Track recording where Protools Shines comparatively. And Audio Editing and Mixing.

NOW It should Be said You can do anything in Pro Tools what you can do in Ableton. It just it has, For me, Workflow frustrations in terms of MIDI and Virtual, Instruments. For example the workflow isn't nearly as fast in term of Creation of Electronic Music. Also it has its own plugin format, AAX. While all the major vendors tend to have AAX versions of their plugins its HARD to find free AAX Plugins. And PT lacks great Factory Instrument Plugins, You'd need to buy something like Komplete.
Also You need the Dongle for ProTools OR an Internet connection.
Take my opinion with a grain of Salt. I've owned Ableton for years and Know it inside and Out, I only Recently Even purchased ProTools and Im still Learning the Ropes, so work-flow might be faster and I just haven't figured out the Full program yet.

Ultimately man test the Demos. You need ILOK to try out the Good Pro Tools but you can Try PT First for free, and Ableton has a Full Free Trial.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

I feel in Ableton creating sounds will be more comfortable
I also feel in PT mixing will be easier
Which doesn't mean that in Ableton mixing isn't possible right

On the other hand it feels that in PT recording and editing vocals would be also easier
Which also doesn't mean that in Ableton will be impossible

Mostly I want to experiment with sounds and record the voice to it

Also I haven't added that it would be my first DAW ever and im all newbie but very excited

so, I think i'll go for Ableton

If also the plugins are obtainable easier
so confused

If you are a professional and need it for compatibility with other ''pro'' studios, you probably need to own it. I tried it out once and thought it was archaic. I assumed that the company must have been lucky to get into the marketplace early before good DAWs were coded and that's how it became a standard. I didn't like it at all. But you might.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

I'd use ProTools. Nothing better for mixing and editing. I only read about problems with Ableton and plugins  It doesn't seem to be a 3rd party friendly DAW.

I hope Pro Tools won't disappoint me then with process of arrangement ^^

Post

Alternatively I could create in Ableton
but record voice and mix in Pro tools^^

Try it out first. Pro Tools First is free. Imho Pro Tools is a bit like the Cadillac of DAWs. Expensive, powerful, dependable, but only cool if you are age 65 or older. ;)

I hate the company, but love to work with it. Their constant attempt to bind you would drive me away fast. I bet you can have the same workflow efficiency in Reaper, costs a fraction, and would still survive the next OS upgrade (PT most likely not...)
If you don't know ProTools yet, avoid it by all means! Better learn something better...
Ableton and Reaper are not comparable, If you consider Live, don't miss out to test Bitwig, just so much more fun. Has a decent sampler now (almost now, the 2.4 version is in beta...; - )

Btw, I am almost 65, PT stopped being cool when I was around 45...
