If you can afford a Mac, you can afford the upgrade!

Hmmm... killer drum machine, very cool synth, Apple loops, doesn't seem too bad for $300. But, considering I just upgraded... May have to sell something! Does seem strange that they don't think PDC is an issue? Maybe GOL has something there?

Wait a minute - you guys aren't seeing the big picture here. This is an Apple product. It's gonna be perfect.
And remember the takeover was like 27 months ago so the interface must have been totally redesigned to take advantage of the G5 Supercomputers and God's OS - OSX.
C'mon - you won't even recognize the program - it will have the footprints of Apple mavens all over it. You will probably just think of an Eq change and it will do it. Like - Automatically! Apple is going to totally own this industry. Fuhgedaboudit.
Personally I can't wait to break out the plastic.

Perfect as in 'Upgrading to the current version of 10.3 totally breaks your copy of Final Cut Pro HD' perfect?

Hmmmmmmmmm - this surely looks good.
No PDC being weird though.

There are so many new features that this upgrade is almost a steal!!!!!!!!
Waveburner
Apple Loops support (plus 1000 loops!)
Sculpture
Ultrabeat
EFM1
Distributed audio processing
Improved EXS Editor
Guitar Amp Pro
Ring Shifter
Vocal Transformer
Pitch correction
Linear Phase EQ
Match EQ
Multimeter
Computer Keyboard MIDI input
Song Templates
Finder integration in Audio Window
External Instruments plugin - for better integration of external synths
Channel Strip Saving
Global tracks: Tempo, Chord, Transposer, Signature, Video, Marker
Extended support for passive fader boxes
Wow
There is definitely something here for everybody! I mean, just try to buy some of this new functionality from third parties.
Distributed Audio Processing - FXTeleport $79
Drum Synth/Sampler - RMiv $129
Physically Modelled Synth - Tassman $349
Loop Library - Pick one $99
Audio Mastering/Red Book CD - Bias Peak $399
FM Synth - FM Heaven $70
Guitar Amp Sim - Guitar Rig $400 or Nigel $399 or Amplitube $399
Pitch Correction - Autotune $359
Frequency Matching EQ - Assimilator $250 + $499
Etc.....
Not to even mention the existing features
Modelled B3 - NI B4 $199
Modelled Clav - Ticky Clav Free
Modelled EP - Lounge Lizard $199
Semi-Modular Synth - Absynth $299
Vocoder - NI Vokator $299
And So on... Of course there are cheaper (or free) options for most, of the features above. But that doesn't change the fact that for $300, Logic users will get an insane amount of new functionality. If you have all the functionality you need (and I believe most of us do) or if you have third party synths/applications that rival or exceed Logic 7's new functionality, fine. Don't buy it. Or skip this upgrade and wait until the next. But what's the point in complaining about the upgrade price? We all know how the software game is played.
And for a newbie, Logic is mostly all they'll ever need.

HI
I am an EX PC Logic user and for $300 I WOULD BE IN HOSPITAL NOW!
Why; because I would have injured myself diving for my credit card!
I know its painfull - all this upgrading crap - but boy your getting $1,000 of NEW software instruments and FX.
