True =)Shit, pattern editor and sequencer in one ?? Do my eyes deceive me ? I always wanted something like that..
i see notes in one track and some reference to a pattern in another

this is extremally powerful and flexible. if this implemented smoothly it will be incredible.

Arguru, whether freeze is implemented by the host or not people will always need extra CPU and will manually do export to wave, import back to aodix and unload the VSTi.arguru wrote:Automation yes, 'freeze' no.Will there be freeze and automation ?
So instead of this being done manually by the user why not make it done automatically by the host ?

That isn't entirely correct. Arguru was the original creator of Noisetrekker, but Renoise was written from the ground up by Phazze and Taktik, who only borrowed the Noisetrekker GUI during the 1.0-1.2x phase. Now with 1.5x, they have overhauled the GUI as well, so there is nothing left of that association.Scr1pt3r wrote:Guys, good news...

Only kidding mate, worth pointing out, good to give proper credit where its due. Especially considering Renoise is such a great piece of coding

Welll...
aodix was promising. Sounded incredible. Had some nice Synths, incredible filters, cool sampler with SINC. In one version there was a VSTi into Sample rendering thing. And cool builint mastering stuff.
But: There were features which appeared, then disappered in higher versions. There were almost no doku. The files were not compatible between the versions. Each version had a changed main GUI.
Then it transformed into a pure MIDI-Tracker, and the synths were gone, promised to re-appear as vsti, which never happens.
(OK, think it were the same code which reappeared in that discovery and phantom from discodsp)
There was an highly evolved aodix pro version in between, this were discontinoued too.
So, at the end it was not a reliable platform, too sad. Never used it really.
And: there were more unfinished stuff from Arguru like freebaseVST, Kaka and a sampler etc.
What about Saiko?
So I believe it when it is finished. And I hope it will come as a vsti so i can integrate it in my preferred host.

"- First soundtracker based in timestamped events, instead classic (obsolete) matrix grid.
"
actually Aero is fully event driven. As far as I know it is the first tracker to use events. Man.. I HOPE they come out with a new version that finishes it off. The development list suggested most of the missing features that make it hard to use are being worked on. It's so close to being really damn good, yet so far away

Aodix 4.0 looks like it will be available any day now! (i.e. today or tomorrow, as the site's been saying "Release in a few days" for two days!)
I've been waiting for this with baited breath since Arguru started work on Overdose!
