No, you didn't understand. I think it works with Kontakt Player (you don't have to buy the full Kontakt). What I meant was that a sample library cannot be compared with a software emulation of the instrument.

FYI: Roland Cloud can be re-demoed (another 30 days for people who used the demo before) at the moment. Check last email.

oh, i knew what you meant about apples vs. oranges! i just meant besides that, kontakt is out of my league (although kontakt player is not)

that said, the fact that it's a sample pack does give me pause for thought. some things would be harder with that, like for example i have the audiorealism 606 drum machine (which is part of a free CM thing), and i have a song where i'm constantly cranking the pitch of the toms up and down and all over the place, to give them a weird, hollow, 'boink'-ey sound, and that'd be harder to do with samples. might be worth it to save up for the full AudioRealism plugin

No, you would have a solid workstation vsti then, similar to falcon, avenger etc. But in Korg quality. For example Korg Triton, M3 and so on... Radias is an incrediable VA-synth. Those synths all are not sold anymore. A pity for the unused algorithms :hihi:

http://forums.rolandclan.com/viewtopic. ... 19#p313419

Would be helpful if anyone else who has had a problem with this plugin could add a post at the above thread.

I will contact Roland Support with my problem and the above link.

This was the error I got with Reaper:-

Plug-in 'TB-303(VST3 64bit).vst3' executed invalid operation during scanning

AND

Plug-in 'TB-303(VST2 64bit).dll' executed invalid operation during scanning

Both of the above messages appear with the heading "VST scanning error + note" whilst Reaper scans for new plugins upon launch and finds the newly installed TB-303 plugins for the first time. No Roland TB-303 plugins are then available in Reaper.

TB_303_VST2_64bit_.dll=002735733ED0D401

The above is copied directly from the reaper-vstplugins64.ini file and shows that both the VST3 and VST2 versions of the TB-303 have data missing from their entries here.

Using latest versions of Reaper (5.9.71) and Windows 10. No problems with other Roland plugins.
Yes been talking in this thread about how I can not load the VST2 303 in Bitwig because it gets errors on scan. It also won't load in Maschine. Support was absolutely no help at all and just said Bitwig worked for them and Maschine is untested. I don't even know if they were on windows. I am, and looks like you are too. Hopefully if enough people have this issue then they will fix it.

You guys with the crashes using version 1.01? They released the initial 1.0 version and a 1.01 update yesterday.

Yes using 1.01 here also.

I just hope the TB-03 being released yesterday isn't a sign that Roland Cloud will do something as gimmicky as releasing the JD990 on 9/9/19 ^^;

The above article from two days ago says that roland cloud now has patches for various synths - where can I find them? Has anyone seen these new patches? I've tried reinstalling instruments and it doesn't do anything.

Apples vs. Oranges.
Generally I would concer but not where drummachines are concerned. Revolution has so many samples that pretty much all permutations are covered.
Plus they have a few variations with different post processing chains already out of the box.
The sequencer also has polyrhythms. Does the cloud version have that?

So you could say they actually have more than a straight emulation.
Soundwise Revolution also impressed a lot more than the emulations that were available (like D16 for example).
Wave alchemy has quite the reputation where drums are concerned.

There’s a new category for patches in the manager software - you install them from there.

Sorry if this been talked about before - but I can't find any info about the "subscribe for one year - get a plug for life" deal. Did they remove it?

Yes, that’s the thing. There’s no info whatsoever on their website about the ”loyalty program” or ”YOURS” (or whatever) and whether it’s one or two plugins after one year or something else (the loyalty program is mentioned once in the FAQ, but it does not really answer anything). Apparently their support has given some (conflicting) answers to some people, but AFAIK this is pretty much the only info we have.

How can it be so frikkin’ difficult to put the info out there for everyone to see, once and for all? I’d really like to give RC a 2nd try, but at the moment, all this confusion and RC’s apparent incapability of communication and fixing simple things just makes me angry.

I've been a rabid activist against all things cloud until they released the 303, and I thought maybe I could take it for a spin and see what the fuss is all about.

But it sounds like they are still sorting out their business model.
