As a frame of reference, I installed the latest Sektor last night.
Just a standard zip archive containing a standard installer.
The 4-gig content was also placed by a standard installer.
Activation was instant, by dropping the serial number
in the related gui panel.

How many engineers would be needed to wreak havoc
on this simplicity/efficiency, and replace it with
a Native Access klone?

In addition, an offline registration scheme for NI products
would be welcome by a significant minority of customers.
What harm and damage would befall NI by re-implementing
such a procedure? I think it would actually boost sales a little,
and reduce support overheads a little. Providing useful
alter(Natives) is a winning strategy. :hyper:
