This one from the same author is also another clean and easy on the eyes theme with a more traditional looking mixer. You can have a choice of white, blue, green and red faders under the Options>Layouts menu item

Another good one to consider, similar clean, simple look like the Tracks one, but with radial mixer bars.
Has a feel of Ableton Live

In this theme, three magnificent themes "L1-Goldielocks", "Tracks" and "Spin" that Lamda created are combined. Also, the transport panel is based on the "Default 4.0" theme. The theme "Grayscale" is easy in perception and does not tire your eyes when you work long hours.

Yeah, I think that was the point. Not usually a fan of Reaper themes emulating looks of other DAWs because I am a proud user of what I use, but this one really looks very good

Well that theme is now my default go to look.
90% of themes have these super duper mixers and complex looking shapes, that look fancy in a screenshot, but are hard to work with and distracting. Or dark and drab

Personally, I can not move away from Default Commala 5. I like to try different themes, always looking for exactly the same as the OP, something well balanced - although I gravitate to darker themes - and each time I try a new theme I quickly switch back to Default Commala 5. I have it set up with my own track colours, and it's just perfect.

No doubt Default Commala 5 is elegantly simple and practical, but I find myself constantly bouncing back to ReAerah! I appreciate that the graphical stuff isn't cutting into useful screen space. Maybe the font that's implemented could be changed to a more fitting, contemporary style font, but other than that there's little I'd really change about the ReAerah theme!

Is there a 'No Theme', or 'No Skin' option?
Is there any difference in performance without it?

Unfortunately to my eyes every single Reaper theme sucks. Or they are OK, but just missing some important workflow features here or there, or there or here.
The theme makers try, but I don't know why for me none of them hit the mark. Maybe because they are all amateurs.

I think it's more along the lines of the old adage . . . "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear"zooterman wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 1:51 am The theme makers try, but I don't know why for me none of them hit the mark. Maybe because they are all amateurs.

In my opinion most usefull themes are these that allow to:
turn or disable possibility to color tracks and items at same time. some themes blocking this options...
ability to visualise full meters on tracks in good manner at same time to visualise clear name of tracks and control of volume and pan and wide/width and routing fields and record when tracks get absolute minimal size.
mixer tracks - with full metering and option to display volume, pan, width at same time.
many of themes lacking of these and this is problem.
most usefull is for me still
Reaper 4 original theme (very small tracks and nice controls) still lacks of control width on tracks and mixer...
Reaper 5 original theme (with mod for full colors for tracks)
(as higher - combo of these two options Reaper 4 theme and Reaper 5 theme would be A)
from custom themes most usefull are:
Paulie theme
This thing is huge. I dont like only this - is not possible to enable to track coloring with items coloring for full tracks. Thiis is disadvantage that is little visuall confusing.
Another:
Greyhound. Just focus on music. Almost super theme but at small level of track size controls of volume, pan, wide - is disaphearing. with full metering at small tracks zoom with ability to control full volume, pan , wide - this theme could be very super usefull in my opinion.
on mixer track is lack of option to visualise at same time pan, width, volume with full meters.
This theme pretending to my personal super theme. i waiting for upgrades.

Me to, and I set up the track colors SWS extension to contain colors from a web design color palette I found online that appealed to me.Lord_Bif wrote: Mon Feb 25, 2019 11:20 am I use Hydra: https://stash.reaper.fm/theme/2085/HYDRA.ReaperThemeZip
