This is the problem with Genesis, so many options are buried deep in different menus. You have to move the semitone controls for the menu to appear, and enable "Auto Chord". As far as I can tell there is nothing intelligent about it, it just generates few more static midi notes if you press one key. To me "intelligent" would mean it changes chords and scales in a musical and complex way.laz wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 2:12 pm I'm trying to figure out where the INTELLIGENT CHORD MODE is. Can anybody tell me?

Works at KV331 Audio
SynthMaster voted #1 in MusicRadar's "Best Synth of 2019" poll
SynthMaster One voted #4 in MusicRadar's "Best Synth of 2019" poll

It seems some presets use it (trance legacy or whatever it called) but i can't seem to find how to edit or disable/enable itlaz wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 2:12 pm I'm trying to figure out where the INTELLIGENT CHORD MODE is. Can anybody tell me?
There should be a manual, some things are not really intuitive.
You may think you can fly ... but you better not try

Exactly the same feeling. I have moved on from the hype, which even I had tbh. But there are tons of synths that I need to scratch and don't have time for Genesis Pro, unfortunately. I have contributed my 1 euro and I am done.yobare wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 2:25 pm I checked some video demos on youtube. The vst sounds great in Ummet s sound demonstrations. But when i hear the sound in the videos people made. I must say it sound not so fat as the demos from ummet?

Everything is buried as you said and this is not practical for me. Anyway i have to play around to make my conclusions. For the time being i am not excited.
My opinion only.

I think this will be the same that a lot of people think. It's a shame really; so much promise, especially 8 years in the making, but it seems it was a massive rush at the end and it just wasn't ready.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 3:17 pm I have moved on from the hype, which even I had tbh. I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Yeah, and the issues started right from the shop account and installation even before people actually got to hear it. And ultimately when they got to hear it, the sound was underwhelming and not what was heard in the demo videos. While I appreciate the effort involved in making anything and then giving it away almost for free, a lot could have been done better to justify and continue the hype.ramseysounds wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 4:09 pmI think this will be the same that a lot of people think. I still wish best for Genesis Pro and hopefully version 2 will make things right.

So I gave the synth a shot and messed around with it. I always try to find positive things to say about the synths I demo, no matter if it is a C++ made synth or a SE/Flowstone synth. The GUI looks good, but it is at the same time the most unintuitive synth I have ever used (okay Z3ta+/Z3ta+2 are slightly worse, but they sound great though). I even found Massive X to be easier to use. The sound did not impress me at all, the supersaw sounds too muddy and overall just odd imo. Not a fan of the AMP envelope either, but not exclusive to Genesis Pro (sounds just as bad as Sylenth1 and Serum's AMP envelopes, Spire and Viper shows the way when it comes to good sounding AMP envelopes). The delay in Genesis Pro is pretty cool though, I like the blur effect so I will add that as a positive thing. The sound effects in the synth when you init a patch etc, is a cool and creative feature.
In general:
GUI (in terms of the graphics): 4/5
GUI user-friendliness: 1/5
Sound Quality: 1/5
Versatility: 1/5 (crap synth outside of EDM, and I don't like EDM)
Loading time: 1/5
It costs 1€ for a reason. This is not meant to disrespect Ummet for his work, but I am always honest when I am giving my opinions on a synth. This synth does not live up to the hype and it was also not a fun synth to make patches on in my opinion. I hope he will improve the synth over time but I will probably not open up Genesis Pro again since it is not a synth for me.

He should make a light version, leave out all the fancy animation stuff(hopefully make it less laggy then), but since its made with synthedit i doubt he can change much at all without breaking the whole program

But it's true! People were predicting it in the beginning of this thread. It's default skin even has a kind of Synthmaster's default skin vibe.kv331 wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 2:31 pmrobotmonkey wrote: Sun Mar 15, 2020 12:57 pm Now that most votes are in I guess we can conclude that it's better do-it-everything all around synth than Synthmaster?![]()
