wagtunes,
Thank you for the review! Now your song "Breakdown on the Highway": a harder rock sound than usual for you, I like it! Curious what you used for the electric bass/synth bass. Per usual, I like all of the melodies: quite good. Everything instrumentally everything sounds very good. I wonder if you put some sort of distortion on your vocals (a little, not a lot), if it would give the vocals a bit more "edge". I wish the song lasted about 30 seconds longer because it is rather good! Once I had a flat on the freeway, and I pulled over to a narrow emergency lane. The flat is on the left hand side of the car; I'm changing the wheel & tire, and cars are whizzing past me at ~70 mph missing me by about 3'. Scary! :)

Thanks for the review Aaron. I use, almost exclusively, MODO Bass, especially for hard rock songs. As for my voice, seems people are kind of split on that. Some prefer when I do very little processing on it and some would like to hear it, as in your case, with some saturation, distortion, etc. I use both methods. Didn't think of distortion for this song but yes, in hindsight, it probably would have worked.

Your flat tire story reminds me why I hope that never happens to me. Very scary.

25th track from my upcoming CD "2020"

Well, this Coronavirus sucks but with nothing else to do, I spent 5 whole days morning and night working on this track. IMO, probably one of the best mixes I've done yet. A lot got packed into 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

Enjoy!

Don't Look Now (You're Going To Hell)

For all the pain you've caused
For all the tears I've cried
For all the things you've done
For all the times you've lied

Don't look now
You're going to hell
Don't look now
You're going to hell
Don't know how
But I can tell
You're going, you're going, you're going
You're going to hell

I took you at your word
That you would still be true
But soon I came to learn
You only care bout you

Repeat Chorus

You won't get away with what you've done
You won't leave me broken like a toy
You are gonna get what you deserve
To your end I will take so much joy

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

From the sound of it, you're not the only one who packed a lot in ….2 minutes? Maybe more I can't contest!

Is there somebody who can explain to me what he's saying?

26th track from my upcoming double CD "2020"

Nothing to hear here folks. The sum of its parts fell into a black hole. On paper it all looked good but one of the most boring songs I've ever written. Listen to the track before it. It's much better.

Falling On Deaf Ears

You can crow, you can scream
Conjure nightmares out of dreams
But I don't hear you anymore

You can rant, you can rave
You can pray your soul to save
But I don't hear you anymore

Nothing that you say or do
Will make me pay attention to you

Your words are falling on deaf ears
I'm sick of all your fears
Your negativity just brings me down
Your words are falling on deaf ears
I'm sick of all your tears
The way you act makes you look like a clown
I'm sick to death
So save your breath
Your words are falling on deaf ears

You can bitch and you can moan
You can growl and you can groan
But I don't hear you anymore

You can frown and you can pout
You can cuss and you can shout
But I don't hear you anymore

Repeat Pre Chorus And Chorus

Time to shut your trap
Sick of all your crap
I'm not gonna take it anymore

Instrumental Break

Repeat Chorus

Wagtunes. Don't get me wrong but you should just write songs and let other people do the mixing and producing. You have so many good songs but your voice just don't match with your songs. If you could find right people to work with you could have a real career as songwriter. Just my two cents...

1. I actually have a group I write for and we're coming out with our first album together this year.

2. Having said that, they can only do so many of my songs. Nobody else wants to record them so I have to do them myself. I know I can't sing. So what? Stop writing because I can't sing? Not going to happen.

Nice step back in time for this track, loving that lead at 1m22 mark. Liked and reposted.

You really liked it? I thought it was boring as hell. I mean, I liked it when I wrote it but when it was done, I was like "meh."

Maybe I'm just in a mood with this whole Corona thing.

Wait a minute, I have a feeling we're not talking about the same song. Deaf Ears doesn't have a solo a 1:22. Could you clarify?

I could have sworn I just listened to the track Berlin is Burning?? not sure where it went but I thought I was on the last page of this mega thread.

LOL. Berlin Is Burning I did years ago. Guess you stumbled onto it by accident.

This has been said many times before. I'm sure there are plenty of up and coming singers who would do a collaboration for half the credit. Doesn't always cost money ...just requires an agreeable personality that is willing to work with others and potentially a bit of flexibility. There are many EDM producers who work with guest vocalists all the time because they know where their strengths and weaknesses are and aren't afraid to accept that.

Its should be no surprise to you that the singing in the track makes it unbearable to listen to after 30 seconds. At least IMO but what do I know. This may be seem good to someone else.
