Fair enough... As it stands it is a great trackYou™ wrote:I've released nothing except the dream of doing music seriously. Making MP3 singles to share is an end in itself...
The vocals are rough and obnoxious I know but I wanted you to feel the angst. Hey, I put as much care in these two songs as any Black Flag or Dead Kennedy's piece. I don't feel like polishing them too much or they might ...be good or somethingI kind of wanted them to be Molotov Cocktails thrown into the disco.
Thanks Ben, that's really good to hear. the "You™" moniker probably wouldn't work as I hear some other band already has it - and they are a lot better than me! Actually I think they are just the letters Y - O - U... But in any case, I'm not sure what kind of band name I want attached. I like making up the band names and album covers as much as the songs. That's part of the process for me. I always thought if I did make a record, it would be a various artists album so I could use all the stupid names I have:Glooper wrote:personally I reckon you should collate your best songs into a "greatest hits" album or something. I'd buy it... (or swap yah for one of mine!)
You could name the album "For You".. for you by you .. you see

Well... Spiff up your favorite 10 - 20 songs, get someone to master them and burn 50+ CD's to give away to friends and family (of course sending a copy my wayYou™ wrote:I like getting feedback on the music I post and I often plan to spiff the songs up - but for what? Posterity? My family and friends don't even listen to my songs much. I don't know what to do with them. I don't seriously consider selling my entertainment. It's just an expensive hobby (remember, I do have a Macintosh too!). I'm only to happy to share and I'm grateful for your encouragement.
I must be a pack rat. I keep nearly everything I download. Got 'em all in iTunes - with art and comments too... I hardly get CD's out except to encode them or look at the packaging - which is always nice.Glooper wrote: However good Mp3's are from the cafe. They do tend to just get thrown away by me. I download on my works laptop, listen, forget about them, and delete them when my harddrive get's too full.. If I had a CD... i'd revisit it every once in a while. It's not so throw-away-able. And of course I'd get to listen to it in better quality.

Thanks! I make 'em. I drew most of this (Sidewinder missile, insignia) in Illustrator and composited it with an explosion image I found on some US Army / Sandia Lab web page. I'm a visual artist in 'real-life.'ouroboros wrote:![]()
