4 instances seems to be working ok in Reaper, I haven't tried any other DAWs.

I'm in Logic and I'm jealous! My kingdom for a RC MidiFX plugin!

thanks for the quick feedback!

1. Indeed, the menu is displayed at the wrong position (on macOS) and is not adjusted to be fully visible on the screen. I am fixing this right now.
2. This is what I am planning. You will be able to display
- only the browsers, or
- only the inspectors, or
- both the browsers and inspectors (with adjustable split position)

I could add a MIDI file browser, if there is demand for that.

Is the width of the panel able to be adjusted? If so your plans are fantastic! Big +1 on a midi file browser though I'm not sure how you'd route the tracks in the file...

Correct me if I am wrong but a MIDI FX can be used for one track only and you cannot route the 16 RC MIDI channels to other tracks.
Have you tried the RC AU plug-in in the beta version?

and a crash bug with Reaper... vst3, the percussion generator.. I have RC on a track in Reaper and route that track to another track with my drum vst.. If you accidentally delete all the "notes" in the wand wizard of the percussion phrase, vst goes unstable then crashes.. I had note preview on as well..

edit: vst gets stuck in loop with percussion generator, can't send note off..

Hi,

I'm finding that the Structure Browser window is limited as to allowed width. This cuts off the longer Line names.

What I mean here is that dragging the bottom right of the window hits a wall width-wise. No limitation here would be ideal IMO.

If you could use RC as a Midi Effect natively, there is a way to insert an External Instrument after that in the same channel strip, and send the midi out on Macs virtual midi ports the IAC bus. I don't know if it's possible to have multiple instances talking to each other though?

I haven't tried the beta yet as I only own the Light version. I wrote a message to you about upgrading to the full version during the sale this morning

The easiest (3rd-party) way to play with MIDI FX and multiple tracks in Logic, that I know of anyway, is to use Pluginguru's plugin host Unify, which has a ton of MIDI FX built in and also hosts them (both AUs and VST/VST3s), and can send either to multiple internal tracks hosting any instrument plugin you've got. Seems to work best with the VST versions of plugins that send out MIDI, often not so good with the AU MIDI FX version of such tools, eg Reaktor, which has an AU MID FX version, which doesn't work in Unify, but the VST works great.

(There's a nice feature breakdown and video demo for Unify at Sweetwater, btw.)

for some reason (probably a difference in reaper configuration) MIDI events arrive even if I close the RC window during playback on my PC. However the playback position pointer disappeared once you closed the window, I fixed this in b21.

Based on your bug report I found an embarrassing crashing bug with the percussion generator when you remove all notes. Thanks for reporting it!

Do you know how to remove this list from the plug-in editor? So annoying...:

looks great.. still have issue with vst3... if fx window closed, it doesn't play via host.. (reaper).. Also, you don't see the browsers while it is inside the FX window.. If you double click RC out of the FX window, it shows..

edit: i can see the browsers in fx window if i drag/resize.. Anyway to make that flex resize? meaning, have the browser visible no matter the window size?

edit: play back issue fixed.. In Reaper, go to the IO pin layout in the FX window and choose output, merge midi buss.. whoo hoo it plays!

double click the vst name next to the check box, it then floats.. yea, I just randomly happen to find the crash bugs for some reason.. lol

again.. I had to merge the midi buffer in Reaper to get play back.. A LOT of vsts have that issue, so, it's not a bug..

For example, suppose all the Lines are 4 measures long and you want at least some of those lines to be 8 measures long.

Question: Without losing any information (i.e. chord progression chunks), how can Parts and Lines be redefined in length?

IOW, how can two shorter Lines be merged into a longer one?

yea, this ain't a bug, but, in the structure browser, right click the Line, not the part, and you can change it there..

At the moment it is not possible to merge two shorter lines into a longer one. So changing the structure but preserving everything is not possible now.

In a few days I'll start reworking the structure inspector. I will keep this feature in mind.
To reflect to your suggestion, very soon not just tempo but other properties can be set in the top bar. (You and lulukom are reading my mind? )
