There’s a fully working trial version IIRC, but they may make you jump through hoops to get it. Just pretend you’re considering doing a course.
Octave can run some Matlab scripts and it's free.

@antic604, nice! Congratulations and welcome to the thread, don't think I've seen you post in it before.
Please don't feed the unicorns or vampires...
They've got their own thread now! :hyper:
Yeah I saw that, I have nothing to add to it unfortunately, I only have video game
stuff from collectors editions. The ubiquitous fallout bobble head and BigDaddy
from Bioshock (which is likely uncommon I think), unfortunately BigDaddy seems
to have escaped. :?
I've got one of those bobble heads too (as you say... ubiquitous), but I've also got a Flea!

Thanks, yeah I had to brag about it, although my post was immediately overshadowed by this blue beauty of a synth right after :o

I will do my best to avoid vampies & unicorns ;)

Oh, I will :phones:

I hope it'll serve me better than Analog Four that's collecting dust in my closet. I'll probably pair them eventually, once I'm fed up with the on-board MPC synths :D

Noise Engineering Desmodus Versio, part of the proceeds go to support Vampire Bat conservation
(other bats too).
Image So of course, I had to get it.

I'm kinda tempted. I feel like I have all the reverbs I need, plus some psuedo-reverb goodness with Clouds and E520 (not a fan of the Shimmer Reverb algo in E520).

I'm more looking forward to Vurt Iter... I mean, Virt Iter, in terms of the hackable DSP stuff. An oscillator seems more like something I could experiment with than a reverb :D

Post

I suspect the Desmodus firmware will lean towards the granular and tape machine side of things as it
matures and or evolves. No doubt you do magneto type self oscillation and stuff like that with NE's
functions or classes or whatever, depending on how it's going to work.

In any event, it should be interesting :tu:

Just saw on the official page for Loquelic Iteritas Percido:
"That thing is a vampiric unicorn with dragons blood that eats pixies and shits nukes. I love it beyond words." — iVardensphere
(Thinking about other oscillators if my incoming Shapeshifter does wind up replacing Hertz Donut and/or E352. The prime candidates seem to be Ensemble Oscillator and/or Loquelic Iteritas. I'm researching what the differences between LI and LIP are aside from the envelope, $$$ and HP...)

[okay, it's just some CV control over things that I wouldn't want to CV control, plus a more confusing layout :hihi: and individual sync inputs for the two oscillators.]

Post

ok, i didnt think i needed any more oscillators at the min, but a vampiric unicorn that has dragon blood and eats pixies and shits nukes, does sound interesting to say the least :o
:ud:

Post

The envelope out and sync on the lip are very handy, cant say I use them everytime, but
most of the time, yeah. While I dont cv control too many parameters, I do go that way
when I need some variation, just sayin.

*The money on the Desmodus pays out to Electro-smith, intersting.

btw: intersting is not a typo, it's a new term I've coined for companies who's collaborative
interactions extend to the point of accepting payment for one another.

Aha! See, I do not make those comments lightly, imagine getting unicorn crap or
vampire feeding related arterial spray all over your gear. No doubt it would be
a pain have to clean up.

Cthulhu is probably ok, I don't expect he actually has any facilities for excrement.
Those tentacles would likely contain any arterial spray as well.
