I’ve been producing instrumental backing tracks for songs for clients for about 20 years.
But now I want to make my own instrumental music.
which genres are most of the people listening to now on YouTube and Spotify ?
and which genres need more music for the listeners ( are the ones that have a lot of listeners but not too much music to listen to ) ?
I heard HipHop and EDM were always the most popular ones.
but now a lot of people are also listening to SynthWave, Trap, and LoFi-HipHop ?

Make something worth listening, popping generic music in any genre is the least this world needs...

How about being yourself...it's hard to believe that after 20 years a TS-12 style hasn't emerged. You should worry less about genres and more about music that is recognizable as YOURS!TS-12 wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 8:58 pmthats what I want to do, but i dont want to make music that will barely have any audiencePassing Bye wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 4:00 am Make something worth listening, popping generic music in any genre is the least this world needs...

Exactly...borrow/be inspired/steal from whatever takes your fancy, but always put your own stamp on it.Karma_tba wrote: Fri Sep 11, 2020 9:09 pmHow about being yourself...it's hard to believe that after 20 years a TS-12 style hasn't emerged.
