Nope! You'd need two wires, somehow... either a dual spool, or two sets of spools precisely synchronized.

Guys, thanks for the feedback, the video, and audio demos!
And yeah, you can always feed it a mono signal
AFAIK not. I can add a stereo to mono option in a future update though, good point.Lotuz2019 wrote: Sat Nov 07, 2020 12:15 pm Were wire recorders also capable of stereo recording? It's nice that Wires is stereo, but perhaps people would like a mono/stereo switch for more authenticity.

We have to thank you @AudioThing
One Thing which would be a really useful feature (in the future) would be more control over the #envelope, like Attack, Release maybe Intensity. I already missed that on the excellent Reels Plugin, as well.
So far and just my first Impressions, really a dope new Release and like I said; lots of fun & possibilities.

I am really glad to see this partnership. I really enjoy Hainbach's content and I appreciate his ears. I don't have a room big enough for a wall of signal generators and HP pulse code devices. This will do nicely. Great work. This thing sounds alive.

Did'nt know HAINBACH made vst plugins, that is cool! He does have a lot of weird gear. Are his plugins based on those?

I don't think Hainbach made this though, as in the code was written by AudioThing? I think Hainbach provided the original device that was modelled.Halonmusic wrote: Sat Nov 07, 2020 3:36 pm Did'nt know HAINBACH made vst plugins, that is cool! He does have a lot of weird gear. Hainbach is a nice guy who's done a lot of fun gear videos. He's big into tape loops and slowed-down tape machines, and then went down the rabbit hole of test equipment, and lately he's been showing an oddball ROMpler for Japanese (semi-)traditional music. Seems like whenever he shows off weird vintage gear, the market prices go way up...

That's my understanding as well. Great collaboration. Would like to see more between Hainbach and Audiothing. Looking forward to playing with this. Already have some creative ideas. Seems ideal for any form of lo-fi, or for sound design set during the Cold War or intended to evoke that era, e.g. see The Conet Project.
Had it in my mind Hainbach had previously collaborated with puremagnetik on one of their music+plugin releases on bandcamp, but misremembered. I was thinking about his loops sound pack from earlier this year.
