DAW Specific Mixing Classes? Have you taken any? How did it go?

I see a lot of youtubers offering DAW based mixing classes. They promise to make you a better mixer. Did you pay anyone? Did it help? What did you learn? Would you do something like that again?
I'm asking in the DAW forum, but perhaps this is the wrong forum. I apologize if this shoulda been in another forum.

I took a REAPER class once, the first 5 years were on how to customize it so as it was usable, the reigning in those unwieldly menus, various methods to combat the onset of nausea from having to look at the UI, mental health tips for having to deal with the UX, they promised the sixth year would be earth shattering, but my earth had been shattered enough so I didn't bother.

Complete waste of money if you aren't complete beginner in particular DAW and have no clue what mixing even means, so you have to pay some youtuber to explain you how you can "mix" in DAW of your choice...

I'd say taking a generic mixing course would be a better route, because you'll focus on understanding of the issues and techniques, rather than specific aplication of them. Once you know why & what you need to do, finding the way in given DAW should be easy.

Ditto on Kush.
Btw, anyone tried Seed to stage courses?
https://courses.seedtostage.com/
On mixing tutorials, I watched Justin Colletti's mixing tutorial (55$ I think) and it was great, gave me a
lot to think about. Really usable stuff.

All the information you could ever want to know about the fundamentals of mixing is available all over the internet. The problem is there's a lot of good information and a lot of other information.wpostma wrote: Fri Mar 19, 2021 1:00 am I see a lot of youtubers offering DAW based mixing classes. So, the toughest part is being able to navigate through the massive libraries of ideas, thoughts, opinions, critics, tips, preferences, influences, sponsors, affiliations, marketing hype, financial motives and some plain misinformation.
This is actually where subscription models that offer exclusive mixing information and guidance could be an asset, and may even be worth paying for the education. Because, it's professionally curated and usually for a specific DAW and their specific users base, etc.

That's very close to what I think. I can learn facts anywhere. What I can't find out from the internet is that I suck at Low End or HIgh End Mixing and HERE is what I am missing out on. Just like the internet can't correct my posture when I play piano.
I would pay $99 to someone who is doing a combination Video + Zoom group discussion + Submit Your Mix thing. Anyone tried a specific course please recommend.

I'm sure there are many courses out there from those willing to take your money in exchange for basic knowledge, most of which available for free on youtube.

I'm seeing 3 different plans: a monthly, 3 months prepaid, and 1 year prepaid -- all of which say you'll "Get Unlimited Access to all videos, Q&As, live events, download templates and sessions from the pros." There's also a 14-day money back guarantee.wpostma wrote: Mon Mar 22, 2021 3:21 am PureMix requires ONE YEAR CONTRACT to access their paid videos? Wow.

This is not a monthly plan it’s a one year contract, billed monthly:
1 Year Plan
Billed Monthly
Where is the “monthly” plan without a one year contract on puremix? There isn’t one.
That’s what shocks me. After 15 days you are on the hook for a YEAR. That’s borderline evil and insane.
