I bought a magnetic shortcut overlay for the Deluge with a much more legible (for me) font colour.Shabdahbriah wrote: Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:02 pmThat's the only thing (I recall) that put me off on it, when I saw a pretty-much-finalized prototype at a local event a couple/few years ago. Otherwise, what an awesome cool form follows function machine! Really cool people too. Good score.werp wrote: Thu Mar 25, 2021 3:27 am accidentally bought a Synthstrom Deluge.
Bunch of fun but now I need to have my eyes/glasses re-evaluated. Terribly small font on the grid.![]()
It works well if I dim the LEDs and have a bit of light hitting the grid from the front.
I'm tired of being insane. I'm going outsane for some fresh air.

Picked up an Intellijel Rainmaker for the Eurorack rig a bit back. I did have to update the two firmwares to whatever is current. That was a little bit nerve wracking...The Mac side of it it (display) was dead easy but the FPGA bit I had to use Windows for..Loads of nervous moments later it was all done and working just fine. It’s an awesome thing which has consigned my tiptop audio zdsp to my Mantis overflow rack.

Well.. I might have said I'm not getting any more modules, I know I thought it... must stop thinking...
Any way, picked up one of these.. Tukra, trigger sequencer with sampled (factory and user) drums and drum synth for all 8 channels.

Finally got my Trueno analog/digital hybrid synth

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Just sold the last module I had put up, so I ordered that Xaoc Jena
Still waiting on my Desmodus Versio to ship -- I guess I should have ordered from a retailer instead of direct from Noise Engineering. It's not like I don't have a bunch of other new stuff to play with anyway though. it just shipped. My superpower is making things happen by posting about waiting for them to happen.

My plan was to get a set of list of items starting last year and add some Eurorackness to my setup. Then I had three surgeries that derailed that whole process. The good part is that while I was out of commission I had a bunch of time to research stuff and because of that many things came off the list. Most of this years items should have happened last year, but oh well...
Re-cap last year
Hydrasynth (keyboard)
Conductive Labs NDLR
Arturia 6U Eurorack case
This year so far
Korg Minilogue XDM
Blokas Midihuib
1010music Bluebox
Squarp Pyramid
Purchased but yet to arrive
Torso T-1
Conductive Labs MRCC
I don't plan on adding much in the way of software this year. I have plenty of that. I may add a few modules to the Eurorack case and I am quite sure they will be for sequencing, initially. The Qu-Bit Bloom is one of the ones that I think would make a good start. I also need to seriously upgrade my desk and instrument area. That will be my focus for the second half of the year.

Well, I ordered a Poly Effects Beebo (/Digit). It was on sale at Perfect Circuit (and no sales tax) so it was too hard to pass up.
I was really torn about this because I was stuck on Zoia (thanks to Justin3am) and despite using both the Bluebox and Blackbox, I'm still not a fan of touch screens. It also seems the Poly Effects touch screens are not exactly the most responsive either.
In the end, I think I can still move a bit faster with connecting modules in Beebo than I can in Zoia. I am going to miss the pads of Zoia that I saw work nicely with Blooper in a "Deeper Bloops" video, but there are always other ways to accomplish the same tasks.
I'm not opposed to Zoia in the future, but not a very near future (because I'm supposed to be holding off on any/all purchases until we decide if we're moving next month or not).

the holiday sale, it fit the bill and successfully applied the holiday discount code. lol
That extra $15 I spent getting the L1 psu direct, instead of from PC, I just made that back

Finally ordered myself some Knurlies. I feel a little silly spending so much on screws, but with the Versio having to come out of the rack each time I want to change the software, that was my excuse to go for it.
(I wish NE would make a "Omnia Versio" or something which could hold multiple firmware versions and switch them with a knob turn...)
