wow! and free of charge!! again! that compensates for the higher price of the V collection, but me like still version 7 (and have the JUP V4, half price, crossgrade.. and OB-Xa, which in my case crashes cubase, i am the only one, still arturia tried hard to help, but still no go, arturia support is excellent.)

EDIT: additive! (and just bought also Syne, no regrets... still a great synth Syne..) but me like additive and it looks that the implementations has it's merits. have an additive collection...
great, that they introduced that! granular, additive, wavetable.. analog oscillators..

wow! wow! not a preset guy, so. but nice the sound pack, for others with another workflow!

Updates this big for free are quite revolutionary! The innovation may well be in how easy it is to use, visual feedback, routing etc...cant wait to try it and find out!

yes perhaps true, the first part of your post, but it is the workflow, and what i feel is the special sound of Pigments (it can sound like a modular, i always repeat that, because me like that...).

i noticed since the last update, the granular engine seems to perform quite worse. (in standalone it is even, strangely, worser..) or something else is bothering Pigments.

but all in all, they are building a synth that is ánd accessible ánd is a sounddesign playground. with a lot of possibilities, and a great sound, in my opinion.

(and me like Massive X also, by the way.)

It's really nice that they bring it as a free update for Pigment 2 users. :tu:

Post

Rad, can't wait to try it. They could easily charge for these Pigments updates so the fact that they're free is very much appreciated.

This is awesome! Pigments is one of my favorite synths and this update is really nice, especially free!

Anybody heard any news of possible Mac M1 native compatible plugins from Arturia?

Being able to add an extra oscillator layer and noise sample layers to the existing dual-engine will make Pigments a lot more powerful...Harmonic synth looks interesting as well, lots of really interesting stuff going on (new filters, filter routing, fx etc), cant wait top hear it!

Yes, I agree. Only around 2 and half years old and already on version 3, and not a penny charged for the significant upgrades. NI could take a leaf out of Arturia's book :tu:
Can you elaborate on this?
Ni is supporting their plugs pretty well IMO, even they are barely pumping out new features for existing products in its later product lifecycle. Tbh I’m not really font of the concept that devs should be expected to put more features in their software to consider it “customer care”. I know you didn’t used these words but I’m sure you get the gist of my words.
I buy software based on what it can do at that point in time. Any later additions - like in this case if rumors are true - are of course highly appreciated, but in no way should this taken for granted and applied to other devs. One must think of the smaller ones and how it might affect their way of doing business.

Sorry for this ot rant and quoting you, I don’t want to pick on you vortifex. It’s just something I had to get out of my chest.
I’m kinda tired of all this gas and more for less (or free) culture, but rn comes to my mind that it’s kvr here....

Back to topic and cheers!
Marcel :ud:
