FL Studio.
By a country mile.

FL studio does it because it does not scan plugins on start up. If you disable Reaper scan at startup is mostly the same

Why does it matter which DAW opens fastest?
I don't get the benefit of this.
Because some people don't like to wait 15 seconds for a DAW to load up. *cough Ableton cough*

Ever since i disabled max/msp and VST-scanning in Live, it loads really fast.
Almost as fast as before they forced Max upon us.
It's still not instant as Reaper, but over here it opens on 3sec now.

Sometimes I'm hearing something and my best way to record it is... to record it, and 5 seconds is a long interval to sit there looking stupid. 15 seconds will be a small eternity. A minute and I'm going to want to use something else.
Cubase does not appear to scan plugins unless new to it.

Just tested this on an average modern windows computer and MuLab only takes 1 second to launch.

Reaper is fast not only at startup, but it can handle more live plugins than any other daw i've tried. There's basically no comparison to Live, where i have to freeze almost everything to have a fluid session.

Just timed Energy XT2 with every single 32 bit plugin I own: 0.5 seconds

That is six times faster!

You can get it here: https://energy-xt.com/energyxt.html

It also doesn't take a second or more to scan new plugins.

It has a unique scanning structure when it comes to loading new VST's.

I love it.

Don't take my word for it - try it for yourself.

Only cost about 15 quid.

Damn it's fast. It's the only program in existence that loads VST's faster than FLStudio!

Yes it is!

And is so much fun I haven't even bothered installing Cubase yet, even if I do own 3 seats!

Did I mention it's fun?

It is also the fastest DAW in the world, known to man for booting up on both XP and win7 and winX systems. It just works!

I'm prepared to put hard cash where your money is if you think there is a faster DAW.

And I am not a betting man.

But then again, neither are you, eh?

Lol.

 :tu: :hyper:  :dog:    :phones:

Energy XT2 is the fastest DAW in the world that will load up all your 32 bit plugins.

You got nothing else, if you do, I got 50 bucks that says you don't!

Nah, didn't think so.

Lightning fast, super stable. Lots of fun.

FL is instant. I'm assuming there's a way to stop that Studio One scan when it boots? Currently demoing it but haven't looked into turning that off.

Are you sleeping through the night?
Do you have someone to hold you tight?
Do you have someone to hang out with?
Do you have someone to hug and kiss you?
Hug and kiss you
Hug and kiss you
Are you all right?

Are you all right?
Is there something been bothering you?
Are you all right?
I wish you'd give me a little clue
Are you all right?
Is there something you want to say?
