nobody mentioned Arturia MiniFuse yet.
Cannot evaluate quality of drivers in comparison to others. But build quality is solid, design slick (I love white version), added Arturia's software is valuable and is cheaper than Focusrite.
Edit: as the only one in this category has USB hub built-in (with single port only but it's better than nothing)

It just restarts on its own, changes Sample rate, clicks on and off, as Bones said, its so random. The latest drivers are unusable, so I am using the original ones that came with the unit, they've revised the drivers about 4 times since then and they just don't work. I have the latest firmware but they are a clueless company when it comes to drivers.

Don't get me wrong, when the unit is working its fine, good latency, the preamp is really nice, but the unit is just not trustworthy. I will replace it eventually.
Just to balance that a bit, mine has been working flawlessly since the day I got it a couple of years ago. I have the latest drivers - no problem at all. It's always connected, always on when the PC is on. Maybe you have a bad USB cable since it goes on and off?

As for the changing sample rate, I seem to remember having a problem with that with an earlier Audient interface. It had something to do with Windows interfering. There's a setting somewhere deep in Windows that needs to be toggled off, as far as I remember. Sorry for not being more specific, but it's been a while. I think I got the info from a forum, not from Audient directly (although in my experience they respond OK). It's worth googling.

I did all they said tbh, and changed anything that needed changing way back when the problems started happening.

I am on my 3rd of 4th cable and the unit is working, but I suspect this is the drivers. The newer drivers are awful and I am using the really older ones. It's stable for now, but I do wonder how long it will remain so tbh.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

Pretty solid build and doesn't break the bank - If you want more in/outs it doesn't cost that much for the bigger models. TBH you have to be pretty obsessional or do it for a living to go for the silly money with things like RME, as many of the cheaper units are so decent and it's rare for drivers to be an issue.
Exactly. Except I would replace "decent" with "good."

I've been looking for something like this as well. I have about 250 euros to spend.

Post

Then you're in luck because the the less expensive ones are good now. You don't have to spend even 250.

guys I need to replace my Steinberg ur28m because the headphone out doesn't have enough juice to run my headphones. how are the headphone outs on the moth, can they run 250ohm cans? I was looking to get an audient id4 mk2, apparently they are perfectly adequate, the headphone out is fine and its only 130 bucks. So maybe that one is also an option for you, OP?

Wow, Kvr is so hard to navigate. It's taken me almost an hour to find my post.

I bought a Behringer U-Phoria. It was quite a bit cheaper than what I had to spend but I'll put the money else where. I won't link it else you think I'm shilling.

I demoed a id14 a year ago and really liked it - the transients were just so nice! However I went for the big brother id44 and I'm super satisfied. I've recently recognized that id14mkII is updated and sounds even better than it used earlier and it's great value for money. Great preamps. My 2cc

why would we think that? but i think most people are familiar. to find your posts, the best way is imho -> top left -> little downarrow next to forum -> my threads

I have a Yamaha MG10XUF and it functions as both a interface and live mix board for sub 300. Easy choice to replace my Komplete audio 6 since I want to be able to have a show setup one day but speakers are expensive haha. Highly recommend for the price point, ease of use, and options available within the setup!

I've had good experiences with two PreSonus Firewire devices.
I recently got an IK AXE Solo, which is really good if you work with guitar DI.

The PreSonus drivers let you mix audio from any source. So, you can be working in your DAW at 96kHz and play a song in Media Player or watch a YouTube video, and everything just works.

The IK devices won't play the second audio source unless the samplerates are the same, or you have "release audio in background" checked in your DAW.

*This may just be a Windows issues.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

For a hybrid setup, would you guys recommend Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 3rd Gen? I'm thinking either about this or MOTU M4, which one would have better conversion, drivers and overall performance? I've also thought about Behringer UMC404HD, but I've heard their drivers are fickle and headphone preamps are on the weak side.
