Hi Pete.
I'm having trouble with exporting my creation as midi.
Can you refer to a page in the manual or explain how to export the individual Wotja22 tracks to midi tracks in Ableton Live on a mbp?
Thanks

Hi Rod,

Please take a look at the following two links:

The main recording docs:
https://intermorphic.com/wotja/22/guide/#mix-record

How to specify grouping (by MIDI Track, or MIDI Channel):
https://intermorphic.com/wotja/22/guide ... k-grouping

That second link is the key one for you, I think!

Best wishes,

Pete

Rod Staples wrote: Fri Mar 25, 2022 4:24 pm Is it possible to disable that annoying popup message asking to copy the VST3 Plug-in on each startup.

I choose to have my VST3 folder organized, with folders for each company's plugins, so I have a folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\Intermorphic\Wotja22Pro.vst3
It ends up as a complete mess if you put everything in one VST3 folder.

But consequently when Wotja starts, it doesn't find the plugin and asks to copy it.
Hi Rod,

Thanks for the suggestion, I've put it in our backlog. I think the solution would be a user setting to specify the folder where they want to install the plug-in.

For now, I'd suggest you simply keep the Wotja plug-in where it installs it. It is a compromise, but it'll save you getting the message.

With best wishes,

Pete

Hi folks!

Wotja 22.3.0 is now available for download.

We're incredibly excited by the new, tightly integrated in-app help system. We hope you like it!

NEW: A context sensitive "In-App" (and thus offline) help system for Wotja which includes the full & highly inter-linked "Wotja User Guide"; any links to online resources are clearly marked with a "link" icon.
NEW: A "Help Resources" page with some handy information to help you get started with Wotja; any links to online resources (e.g. Tutorials) are clearly marked with a "link" icon.
NEW: Should you want to use online webpage translation on the above pages a new “Help: In-App (uncheck for Online Help)” toggle (Settings > General) allows you instead to view online versions of the two above files.
NEW: The "Help Resources" page is shown automatically when you first run the new version of Wotja and can be re-displayed at any time from Documents > Actions > Help - Resources, or if the checkbox "Show Automatically on Start?" is on.
NEW: The Actions button in many screens (and in the Generator Menu) has a new menu item "Help - User Guide"; this is used to show the context sensitive help.
NEW: In some Screens, where space allowed, we added a toolbar "Help" button that directly loads the context sensitive help.
IMPROVED: The Wotja User Guide now incorporates the Engine Guides (WME, WAE and WSE).
IMPROVED (Desktop apps): We've renamed some Help menu items to clarify when they are to on-line resources.
IMPROVED: Toolbars in WAE Units have have been moved from the bottom to the top.
FIXED (iOS): Crash on app shut-down, seen for some users.
FIXED (Desktop apps): Generator Network MIDI lines could disappear when Wotja didn't have UI focus.

If you're using Windows 10, then please see here:
https://intermorphic.com/wotja/help/#windows-docs-svg

Best wishes,

Pete

We've known for a long time how our users (both new and long-term!) have wanted an improved help system; and we've pushed this pretty much to the limits of what we could achieve technically, especially on the context-sensitive side.

What you see on the website, is what you see in-app. So as we fix and improve in one place, you'll see it in the other!

Tim has done some great work over the past 6 months to make this possible.

Tim is also going to continue to extend the tutorials, which we know are very popular!

With best wishes,

Pete

Hi!

OK, that is not something I'm seeing here. I presume you've tried re-scanning that specific plug-in?

Image

NB: I've seen this a few times on my development Macs, but of course that is when debugging with Xcode - as you'd expect, thing scan go wrong when writing new software & debugging!

When that happens, I've had to select "Reset & Rescan Selection", or even sometimes select "Full Audio Unit Reset" then restart the mac / restart Logic Pro (and on occasion, I've even had to do that a few times, and then only when using Xcode).

In the latter case ("Full Audio Unit Reset") I've had to do that more often on the M1 Mac, and only *very rarely* on Intel Mac (again, when debugging with Xcode). So I'm pretty certain there is some weird platform difference in Logic in this area.

Hi all!

Tim has added a lot more Wotja 22 tutorials here:

https://intermorphic.com/wotja/tutorials/

Once you've had a chance to try them all out :), if there are any specific areas you'd like to see us cover, can you please let us know?

Thank you!

Absolutely love this new short video tutorials

Hope they will be completed as soon as possible, especially the more in depth creation parts (set a root note and scale, set a chord progression, set randomization settings for template........).

With the manual so far (link to link to link to......where did I start ? where am I now ? what was my starting question ?.....) I always got lost cause its just to complex.

With these tutorials you can pick up steps and go back whenever you want. I have not tried the improved in-app help but would assume these two together will bring me much further then the very nested manual which still will be helpful for special parts when at least you know what you are looking for exactly.

Okay, it finally scan successful

but I notice now that compared to the previous version, the current version isn't AU3 anymore.

OK, that is very strange - as you can see, it has passed scanning on my system with AUv3 reported.

What happens if you try using the Wotja 22 Plug-in - do you have any problems?

We have a never-ending list of thing we can implement in tutorials, that is for sure :)

If you have any other ideas, do please share them with Tim and me.

Many thanks and glad you find them useful! It has taken me a long time to get to doing these, what with everything else, but I am adding to them as fast as I can!

That is the plan (!), but I have to get the basics done first. I just finished one on Mix and Cell Properties, and those are where you set or override Root notes. See: https://intermorphic.com/wotja/tutorial ... links.html

That is what we hope - it is our attempt at trying to make it easier to explore Wotja, when you want to!

The only reason I mention this is because I've written a AU3 MIDIFx plug-in and if you didn't set that then how is Logic setting back to a non-AU3 version.
I'm concerned with my AU3 plug-in, I don't want Logic to reset that on-the-fly.
I thought if you made a AU3 plug-in, it stays as AU3. Hmmm... :o
