Valhalla UberMod - don't hear much chatter about it.

I love it. I use it all the time. Some of the best choruses I’ve ever gotten are from it, and that includes hardware.

I know it doesn’t have as many voices as Ubermod but I’ve always preferred the sound quality of Valhalla Delay for chorus.

I'm quite happy with Ubermod. It gets used frequently.

Yeah VD....no let's rephrase that...VDelay can def make good choruses. But I guess Ubermod has 8 taps so it must be twice as good? Sounds like there's more under the hood too. I must d/l the demo and give it a run. Some of the demos on Valhalla were very reminiscent of old Lexicon unit choruses that washed around when you lengthened the delay times. My old Alex unit had a 8-line chorus (I think?) but not anywhere near the tweakability.RobGee wrote: Sat Apr 02, 2022 3:22 am I know it doesn’t have as many voices as Ubermod but I’ve always preferred the sound quality of Valhalla Delay for chorus.

I might just have to have a proper demo and then likely buy it. Liked everything I have from Valhalla so far. I was trying to keep my plugins down to a sensible number, but somehow I seem to be on a acquisition spree at the moment. Not only that but h/w too. At least plugins are considerably cheaper than hw...

VVV and Ubermod are my Valhalla must haves
Delay is also really good
And of course the free Supermassive
But everything from them is very good and your list might look completely different

Supermassive and UberMod are my Valhalla favs. I do like the Delay too but currently enamoured with GuDa' Audio's new 'Eko' delay.
Would like to see them update Shimmer with a bit more control.

ubermod is amazing. there's a thread here somewhere with a bunch of people sharing patches that are really inspiring. haven't checked in on it in a couple years
edit: oh here it is// it's the OG ubermod thread. there's some great patches in the last few pages and more...

Up there with my favourite few plugins. Use it all the time and have done for years.
I don't feel it's got too much going on, it's really fast to edit and once you know it well, it's very quick to get something rich and interesting out of it.
I tend to modulate it a lot to make things move around and for fills.
It's good to under or overdrive things with it as well.
If an ubermod2 ever came out I'd be very happy, or if it received some updates or new algos that would be great. However, it doesn't need them and is amazing already.

Yeah, seriously, wtf. Why would some moron go to an audio forum and then to a sub forum called "effects" and then want to talk about audio effects. What world is this?!psynical wrote: Fri Apr 01, 2022 8:09 pm is there a reason why you think there needs to be constant chatter about this or any plugin?
I'll never understand the "any love" or "underrated" plugin threads.

that’s not the point though is it? it’s the needy requirement some users seem to have - that a tool is only worthwhile if it’s The Cool Thing, not what you can do with it.idoru97214 wrote: Sun Apr 03, 2022 7:00 amYeah, seriously, wtf.
