In my case there are no magware or freeware, yet. But luckily so far, as mentioned, mostly bundle installations. Like NI Komplete 13 Ultimate CE, V Collection 8 and FX Collection 2, the whole Kilohearts bundle, Toontrack, and a few more.chk071 wrote: Sun May 08, 2022 10:45 pm![]()
My 220 something already were a lot of work.![]()
Took the chance to slim it down a bit though... I had a bit over 320 on my former PC. Mainly the magware I installed and never used.
I'm having so much trouble parting from my plugins, even those I hardly, or never use

I'd argue that only postproduction studios still use ProTools.
it has nothing mastering specific, i master in logic.
I only do TV work in Pro Tools - basically only where i need to send session to someone.
If you run M1, protools is a poor choice. It works like garbage and if you produce on it, you have about 60% less leeway for cpu than with logic.Trensharo wrote: Thu Apr 21, 2022 4:41 am
Surprisingly, a lot of producers actually do use Pro Tools. Because, well... It gets the job done.

Contrary to popular believe, not everyone wants to produce in X and Mix/Master in Pro Tools. Some people don't see a point in band wagoning industry FADs when they can do everything in Pro Tools without needing to juggle things.
The same way I don't see why most people would Produce in something like Studio One, Cubase or Cakewalk and then Mix in Pro Tools. That's a waste of time.
If you work with video, the video engine takes a wopping 6GB of RAM just to exist.
Compared to Logic's few MB, it also chops a significant chunk into your ram.
It gets the job done sure, and there's some great things in it, but it's a slow clunky behemoth of yesteryear and i can't wait till it dies out, i hate working in it.
