Linnstrument x/y range

I bought a K-board pro 4, and it's fine except for a horrid x-axis response, which i'm not sure is due to my configuration or what, but I think it's most likely a fault with the MPE controller itself. I've tried all the settings in the instrument's software to no avail. I like the guitar-like layout of the Linnstrument, but the squares look so tiny! Is it even possible to have fine control over parameters with x and y?

Pre-covid, Roger Linn would sometimes find a Linnstrument user and arrange a test (cause most of the time people cannot find a Linnstrument nearby to try).

Linnstrument works great for me, but everyone is different. See if you can try one out. I will never get rid of my Linnstrument!

I believe it, having a guitar-like layout seems immensely useful from a creative standpoint. I also have recently gotten into electric guitars, which sparked my interest in mpe in the first-place, so I'm half inclined to get one based on the pad configuration alone.

The Linnstrument is too small for me, so I abandoned the idea of having a good guitar layout MPE controller and just went with a Rise 49, which I love. It didn't take me too long to get acclimated to it, but I had been (badly ) playing keyboards since the 80s.

The Linnstrument's pads are very sensitive - it doesn't take much much pressure or movement to get the desired effect. The first thing I had to learn while playing it was to touch the pads more softly than I would for, say, a guitar or a synth-style keyboard. Once you get used to it, it's brilliant.
