They most definitely do not sound great, but enjoy whatever you want. It’s no surprise there’s so many McDonald’s in the world. The question was “why do people hate on Cherry Audio?” I’d say hate is too strong a term, but for me it’s more like disregard. My personal opinion is that they should take a break from the fire hose of plugin releases and spend time going back and actually making their plugins sound good. I’d be the first in line if they could get their stuff to sound as good as Softube’s stuff. They're still a lot of funa nd sound great.![]()
McDonalds thrives because they spend billions determining what flavor the most people really like, and delivering. Enjoy whatever you want negates anything being bad or good, if you like it you like it, and there's nothing wrong with that.
I can make the same musical chords with softube or cherry and no one would care.
I've been having more FUN playing music Cherry than my complete $1000 collection of arturia.
Everyone is allowed to be different.
Why do people here hate on cherry audio?

Not at all. My comment was purely about the value of those magazines. No reflection on Cherry Audio at all.rsaintjohn wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:22 pmIf you're implying that we pay for reviews, you're mistaken.
I don't get this. I don't need to like a company to benefit from its products, just as I don't automatically buy every product from a company that I do happen to like, just because they put it out. I judge every product on its merits and as long as a company isn't owned and/or staffed by child molesters or axe murderers, I'm fine with buying their products if they do what I need them to. Actually, I don't think I'd feel too bad about buying from an axe murderer. For those who like us and some/all of our products, we like you too. Thanks for sticking with us as we grow and get better. For those who don't like us, we listen anyway and will continue to improve in the hope of at least earning your respect, if not your business.

Poison is definitely too girly for me. If you're going to murder someone, have the decency to do it to their face and get it over and done with. I'd buy from Lizzie Borden, I wouldn't buy anything from Lucretia Borgia.

my apologies, I was giving benefit of the doubt to someone else's assertion in the thread. I see that was misplaced.rsaintjohn wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 4:22 pm
It will happen, we know it's a great feature, and we intend to update all of the older products with it. As for "changed software devs" and "can't/won't," that's just silly. We have not lost or changed developers. Dan is responsible for most of the code, he designed that feature, and he'll roll it and other improvements into the others, just like we did with oversampling. We appreciate your patience.blatanville wrote: Wed Jun 29, 2022 10:43 pm At this point, I would have expected, if they were working on improvements to the older products, to see the "" in the preset browser for them, too. Someone suggested they may have changed software devs at some point, and there are just some changes they can't/won't make to the older code.

I hadn't noticed people shitting on CA moreso than any other company. There are plenty of people who just assume that 30$ synths can't possibly be good but there are plenty of people here who think all types of silly stuff. Waves and Arturia seem to be the go-to targets to the extent that I pay attention. Anyway, I wouldn't worry much about what folks have to say about most software on here. A good portion of the people here are only here to argue about synths and synth developer policies. Just demo stuff you're interested in and see if it works for you. Outside of as very small amount of very sketchy companies, there is not much to complain about in the current market.

This is b.s. Every detractor has had actual experience and specific things to criticize. I owned almost every Voltage Modular add on. All of them. The Memorymoog too. They were fine at the time, but at the time, getting a complex Softube Modular patch was too much for my machine. Now it’s not, so I’m going to get the best possible tool for the job. It’s that simple.Ah_Dziz wrote: Fri Jul 01, 2022 3:32 am I hadn't noticed people shitting on CA moreso than any other company. Cheap plugins can sound awesome and TAL is a testament to that .
For me it's simple , do the plugins sound as good and accurate as their marketing makes you want to believe ?
For cherry audio the answer is a simple no .
Tal doesn't give a rat's ass about marketing , simply because his (payed )plugins have proven to be topnotch and word of mouth does the rest , the emphasis there lies on quality .
It wouldn't hurt if cherry audio for once focussed on one pluggin and make it stellar sounding .
Anyone who thinks that even a seasoned coder with decades of experience under the belt can release an authentic modelled plugin every few months is just dellusional .

I was just telling the OP to try the stuff out for themselves. If it works then great. If not. Also great. I was surprised to hear the question as I don't notice lots of people talking about cherry audio on here. I'm sure lots of people have all types of experiences with their stuff. I tried out VM when it was released and had no interest in using it regularly so I left it at that. That doesn't mean other people don't use it all the time and love it.gentleclockdivider wrote: Fri Jul 01, 2022 2:16 pmIt has nothing , nadda to do with the priceAh_Dziz wrote: Fri Jul 01, 2022 3:32 am I hadn't noticed people shitting on CA moreso than any other company.
