Sounds like it will be a paid upgrade for things like UI update and resizable, M1 compatibilty and possible oversampling.
they're already apple silicon native though. that came in a previous update for free.

i don't think they'd do a paid update unless it was to a version 6.x or whatever that adds some new plug ins. just a guess though. i wouldn't be surprised either way.

Their new account system has lost a few of my licenses, even though they are still on my ilok account. Teething problems I guess.

Maybe ST6 is on the way.

got the mail, too. sounds more like an upgrade to the full v5. i love my soundtoys Bit having the full bundle for years, it’s a little annyoing to constantly get sales-mails about single plugins or an upgrade to the bundle. their crm-should know better…

you have to contact them.. in the mail they talk about possible license missing....

Credit where credit is due, they did listen, and they did add my licences to my account after I asked the seller to email them, not so normal nowadays for a lot of companies, Soundtoys back in the good books here.

I got it to and have the full v5 so I'm hoping they are laying the ground for v6 (and that the upgrade price is not too much)

Were all the licenses there beforehand ?

I have bought a few from other people, and the transfers all went through. I don't have the contact details for the sellers anymore, so they have take the fact I have the plugins working in the ilok manager as proof surely ? Otherwise this is just pure bad programming when they ported to a new system, and irresponsible on their part. But i'm jumping ahead here, they haven't actually said that to me yet.

It was a v5 full licence, which was there before the changeover, but gone after, now back thanks to the seller.
It is worth noting that Soundtoys didn't even reply to me sending them the info, they only replied to the seller, so if you don't have the sellers details, I am not sure that will work out well.

I am not sure I have the sellers details, but they accepted the license transfer beforehand, now they are questioning it.

That is ridiculous and not justified at all. How can they accept the transfer one minute, then not the next.

Try sending them the iLok transfer confirmation email you got after the transfer. That contains the sellers iLok name and - in my case - was enough to restore my missing second hand license.

The point is, you should not have to do this. All my ST plugins are 2nd hand so I won't even attempt to update, those emails were years ago and long gone. Real punk move from Soundtoys imo, why tf is it my responsibility to prove anything they approved the transfers in the first place.

They are suggesting that the licenses could be "Stolen" or "pirate" so validation is needed.

This is pretty poor from ST even though i've had my licenses resolved (Apparently, Ive not checked yet) they are making a huge deal out of this.

If Ilok accepted the transfer why wouldnt they ?

In my case, they display the 5.1 bundle in my personal account, but I should have listed Little Plate and Echoboy Jr as additionnal licenses (like many others, I was offered them long time ago as freebies).
They tell me Little plate and EchoboyJr are indeed included in 5.1, but I don't think so : the point of calling a bundle license 5.3 is (I guess) because additional stuff was included.
I see the situation where V6 will be released and my update price will not be as low as it should because I've only got the 5.1 bundle...
Or maybe I'm just paranoid and everything's gonna be all right...

People say they can / can't see the licenses in their accounts and I tried for a few days by now, but I always get a maintenance message. :?
