Lorn's bass texture

0:21, 0:45, 0:55, 1:06 (here it sounds especially disgusting in a beautiful way), etc. it plays here and there throughout the track. How would you come up with something like this? My idea so far has been to layer a low filtered reese with some brass-ish sample and noise on top + eqing the layers, distortion and reverb. The results I've had so far were pretty shitty. Any ideas?

Thank you for the video, though the volume of the synth in is so low compared to your voice I can't really hear it. Anyway, I'll mess around with the techniques you showed and see what happens.
