Sigh.

Windows 11.
Works fine here in windows 11.
Have you changed anything before this happened or did it just decide that it didn't want to open anymore?

It’s not verified to work on Windows 11 to my knowledge.
Why would it need to be verified for windows 11?

I have been running windows 11 for the best part of a year and everything that ran on windows 10 runs fine in windows 11 as well.

My bad - they actually made a statement 4 months ago that Reason 12.2.5 and later is supported on Windows 11:

https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... -statement

But Reason 12.2.4 and earlier, not so much. Neither is ReCycle or the Refill packer, unfortunately.

Yeah I have it on two different Windows 11 computers (one Ryzen and one Intel based) and the latest version of Reason works very smoothly on both. Actually DAW wise in general, Windows 11 has been running surprisingly smooth on my end considering its so new.

Supported and working are however two completely different things. I would say all software working with Windows 10 is working with Windows 11. I have been running Windows 11 since a month before official release.

That’s good to know. Virtually all new PC’s these days only come with Windows 11, so hopefully this pattern continues.

I wonder if they will skip the number 13 and call it Reason Pro Studio 1 :-D

Maybe they'll call it Reason Studio One Pro Edition Plus for Pros Only, and then Scotty M will make a triumphant return. :hihi:

My issue was fixed after UN and RE-installing Reason Studio and Reason 12.

I could not get this to work.

I'm a super old school muso that has no idea of routing.

When I try the example above,I get no sound.

I actually get sound without turning the External Trigger Mode On.

Does Reason12 NOW support VST3?
I think there were some talk in the Spring that VST3 was coming to Reason12... but couldn't find any new news about it.

Nope, all quiet on that front…hopefully soon.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I don't care about VST3 at all. To me Reason is a groovebox within itself. Apple silicon support, that's the one I'm waiting for
MacMini M2 Pro MacOS Tahoe ……… Reason 14

No, not currently. That said, VST3 support is in the works and will be out in a bit. Reason Studios are actively working on it.

Yes, that's the point - they're absurdly slow, yet expect to get paid as if they would deliver healthily.

But to be fair, in this case we don't know how much of this slowdown is thanks to Apple (as they apparently aim to release M1 support and VST3 within the same update).
