Modwave is a winner for me. I like it best of all the Korg soft stuff I've tried.
Getting sounds that are to my liking, and responding to my playing right from the start.
I have plenty of other wavetable stuff, but I think this one will be getting a lot of use.
Well done.

Tried the demo for modwave, and dislike it.
Sounds a lot like pigments with its grainy wave tones.
The wavestate is better by far.
The microKorg is the better recent release from korg imo.
The modwave, and the opsix are failures in korgs lineup.

No, they are not. They're not for you, that's all, kid.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I also bought it. Even though it is wavetable # 12 or so but then again, how many synths also start with just a saw/square waveform? While registering KORG software pass messaged “The product code has already been used”. I really hate it when this happens. Modwave native is not in the KORG ID, so I contacted support. I was wondering if people here have experiences with KORG support and these weird registration things. Are they fast?

My experiences with Korg support have all been positive. Not always super quick but always resolved.

I just looked in the tech support queue on support.korguser.net, and didn't see a message about something like this. Please send a note using the "Bug Report" form here: https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-usCepheus wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 9:37 pm I also bought it. Demo'd Wavestate, Opsix, and Modwave, and I have to say I'm very impressed with what Korg is up to with these instruments! Modwave is my favorite of the three - such a creative take on what you can do with synthesizer design if you think outside the box. The crazy modulation options - I can't count how many modulation destinations there are. The A/B blending of wavetables, the motion sequencers, the kaoss physics, smart randomization, all very cool stuff. I have a ton of great sounds in Pigments, but Modwave does a lot of things that Pigments can't do. Modwave is purchased, great job Korg!

Yes I did send in a request (#14118) and via bug report just now again 14121. The Modwave native is not in the pull down menu yet, so I choose the Korg Software Pass as subjectdanatkorg wrote: Sat Dec 10, 2022 10:54 pmI just looked in the tech support queue on support.korguser.net, and didn't see a message about something like this. I can replace modwave with the free vital synth, and get the same tones.
If I want chaos pad stuff, I can just use the collection 4 updated version and use it with vital.
The free dexed fm synth is better than opsix.
There is no equivalent for the wavestate or the microkorg, so they are better in that way.

Dexed does maybe 10% of things Opsix can do, are you smoking something? Vital doesn't sound as good as Modwave and also doesn't do a lot of its sequencing and wavetable mangling tricks.
Third strike and you're out.

What version of Software Pass are you using? I am up to 1.2.4 and it shows.
