Yup, Spout and NDI. But unfortunately no Spout input, which would have been kinda nice even if just for the background layer.

Cool, thank you. :tu: NestDrop is definitely going to be my go-to. This thing does 80-90% of e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g I want to do (that I have, and can think of), to experiment/play with for countless hours of auditioning/testing and modding/customizing, blending/morphing, etc. And it is dead simple (imho) enough so, that even 'I' will likely remember what, why, and how I was doing something with it, when I walk away from it for more than a day. 8) :D

Well, I picked up NestDrop, and also the Project-M milkdrop player for Android(*), and it would appear the Project-M engine sourcecode might be usable in Unity, so I grabbed that as well...

(It'll react to the mic, so Ive installed it on an NVidia Shield games tablet, which has HDMI out. Another nice wee feature is that the visualisations can be manipulated with a 'multi-touch' drag across the touchscreen of the tablet)

That sounds really fun! 8)

Since NestDrop imports milkdrop visuals, which are incorporated in winamp (https://www.winamp.com/), here's some geeky/techy stuff, that may be of interest to some.

This article about GPU Performance, is mainly 'game-coder' centric, but is a rather interesting and easy to follow introductory overview of how GPU's and memory work with meshes/shaders...

I see there are programs that can create AI animated avatars that look beautiful and can speak, and have near realistic appearance. But they don't move around, they just talk. You can make these now. They will speak your script.

What I would like to make are AI videos with animated musicians that 'play' instruments to songs I write. Drummer, guitar, keyboard, and singers. AI created but near realistic.

Think of the possibilities. Make a music video, or a 'live' band concert. Or a 200 voice choir in a cathedral. To your music. AI created. You are the composer, producer, and director.

I think we'll be able to make these AI videos one day. Now that samplers and synths can make any kind of music we want, the next thing coming I think is making any kind of music video with our music. What do you think?

I was talking to my friend Craig, a pro artist (Forrest Gump, MS Age of Empires etc) He is
surprisingly interested in the AI stuff, for him
its to get ideas, even tho one day the stuff may put him out of work. Trying to get me
interested actually, though i am a bit hesitant personally. I dont want to lose out to an artist
AI myself.

big discount available on Imaginando stuff including VS at the moment, if anyone is interested. Buy something for 9EUR or more, get a 90% off anything discount voucher. There's a preset pack for VS that goes for 9.99, so buying that gets you 90% off the plugin...

Great call, thank you!
I have a question regarding VS. I´m not sure if I understand it correctly, lets say I have created a sequence for my track. Can I export the video, synchronized with the audio length and then load it in my video programm as an mp4 or similar file? And if yes, can it output 4K resolution?

you can import audio or midi in to vs, then record an mp4 in vs.
i can't comment on 4k sorry.

What vurt said, its running 'live' but allows you to record the video output (or send it somewhere else via Spout or NDI).

The output resolution setting goes up to 1920x1280...

There’s a prebuilt one listed in mint condition on Reverb, but they want $550 plus $20 shipping. Taking offers though.

Edit: nevermind, available much cheaper prebuilt from original link.
