Do you know Haribo gummy bears?
Some like the red bears, some dislike them, some prefer the green ones...
You will always find pros and cons, that's what it looks like, that's what makes life colorful and exciting. And everyone might see, explain, compare something differently.
Imagine there would be white bears only!

I suppose i could have been more neutral in my comments. AT is a tool. I, and a few other posters, think that AT can be more likely to change the emotional impact of vocal they are used on than a lot of other processes. Also agree it can be used very creatively.

I saw Porcupine Tree one weekend on the bill with Gong, Brand X, and Magma. PT is great and made a good opener for those two days.

The gummy bears example also refers to the overuse of Autotune. It might be coincidence, but I remember in my younger years kids quite often disliked the white bears.
If a bag of gummy bears represents music production, there are too many "colorless" white ones in the bag today filled with autotune & co.

Thinking outside the box is not your strength? Neither I am a political, nor a religious person, even though I dare say I have a little more than just some basic knowledge. I reacted to fake pretending with fake pretending, to pretend not to see the irony in the response.
