Stargate are one of my favorite production teams and I'm trying to study them as good as I can.
I'm really curious to know what exactly Stargate do here in 0:13 with the quick kick drum sound, right after the open hi hat before the vocals begins:
They introduce the same kick pattern again throughout the song, it is something that I remember hearing in some oldcshool 90's r&b/new jack swing songs but I have no idea how to achieve this.
Also if there are any tips on what drum machine they probably used in that song that would be great.
Besides that, I would like to know how to create a similar synth sound to the one in the beginning, sounds like an opening and closing wave but I'm not sure what's going there because I don't know much about synths
