I got some extra cash and got this cheap turntable and thinking of buying a turntable while I still use the one I have in the meantime. The reason is, I think it's not capturing the best sound, the sound quality is poor and that's the only weakest component in my recording chain. I have a Crosley c100. My budget is 300 to 400, so used would be preferable. Any help appreciated.

Crosley C100 you say? Quick google review says
imho they don't make them any more as they used to. Reknown old brands: Akai, Technics, Dual.
Final advice: visit a hifi specialist near you and ask a demo.
Well, thin sound is due to the cartridge, so...Price: $180 Pros: The cartridge, the price, and it's not in a suitcase. Cons: Plastic chassis, thin sound and useless pitch-slider

Thanks for your reply. But I don't have enough money to go the hifi route. Just looking for a decent beltdrive Dj turntable.
edit: Actually, I was looking at the turntables in amazon and I might have enough for an affordable hifi system.
