I don't see any reason why people cannot learn to play "non experimental music" on this thing.
If you program the touch buttons with a Chromatic scale, it plays like a normal, albeit very sensitive, keyboard.
Combine that with the left hand possibilities, and I guess that musicians will play types of melodies on this instrument that are very difficult to do on other instruments.
So I'm very curious when real instrumentalists are going to play this instrument.

I only skimmed the vid and I'm not about to run out and buy it, but it looks like I would be a cool experimental toy to contrast the proper synths in any studio.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I get from it. Followed by a wish that they could put the sensitive touch/vibration controller aspect of it in a much simpler desktop controller without the synth and without the wood and with voltage/gate outputs for somewhat less money.
