Hello all.

May be there are some.
Are there any alternative skins for the actuall Cakewalk version?

Thanks.

There is Sonar Theme Editor for Cakewalk Bandlab version as well as Sonar Platinum.

and

https://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Theme-Editor

and there are loads of coloring options that can affect how things look.
- lots of backgrounds, rulers, text etc

apart from what many daws have to color individual tracks and so forth.

I run an old Sonar Artist, so don't know if that applies to that. Only Platinum versions. Ran Cakewalk by Bandlab some years ago, and there were some ready made skins, and sure there are more now. But it is a tedious job to fully skin a product, so maybe some charge something, not sure.

A couple of dozen ones, and linkts to his paypal for donations as well.

But as software is developed with new dialogs and stuff, difficult to keep up to date, I guess.

I would recommend M-Slate, probably the most polished and clean theme for Cakewalk:

M-Tungsten, an improved version of the default Tungsten theme:

Blue Aston is decent too:

I'm not sure which Cakewalk version you've got in mind, but if it's Sonar X3, I might have recolorized versions of the Tungsten theme. They're not amazing: I was just not fond of the original mustard yellow-brown of the buttons and such and changed them to about a dozen other colors (not within the same skin: one each dark red, royal blue, dark green, tiffany blue, etc.), if memory serves. One or two were a mix of Tungsten and the original theme, I think. A few people asked me for requested colors. Anyway, I can check later if you're interested. I may still have them.

Thanks.
Is the ".sth" extension the one you need? If so, I do have a bundle of alternate skins, mostly based on Tungsten, though not all are. If you want them, you're welcome to them.

Let me know.

I assume you mean the newest release of Cakewalk?

Unfortumately, no. The only themes are what it ships with.
