Don't know v1 as I've just started at v1.1
I'm still at the stage of figuring how to get the rhythms to pulse the way I want ... or understanding how the EG affects the ADSR. Or what the Ratio on/off light is doing.
But v happy with what I've got
btw is it worth my while installing v1 as well? Am I missing much by not doing it?

wow..a lot in that one paragraph. To answer the last one real quick: it may be worth installing v1.0 because there are several user patches for it..including another 128 bank I did that can't be loaded in v1.1 AGHHkevvvvv wrote:Don't know v1 as I've just started at v1.1

Ratios: clicking on the ratio button so it turns red allows you to use slower speeds for the LFO. If you check out my 32 preset bank for ver 1.1, I use that A LOT. I even use them for seq patches which makes it sound like a wuisk station or Kubik..er..wave sequencing type sound. I was very surprised myself when I found this out. Play PAD Sky Window and see what I mean. Just play a chord, and hold it, and hear it change harmonically. very cool!

I have to agree that I miss the background bmp of M42 as well as the "Ball" controller. The cross is hard to grab sometimes if you are trying to change/automate the warp while recording. Although there does seem to be more range of the control than with the v1.0 M42 bitmap. Might just be an optical illusion.vurt wrote:as for what i think of the gui lose the bloody + on the warp ball![]()
Really though the expanded functions are definately worthwhile.
Thanks,
Curt

I miss the little picture of the galaxy too.
Much better size, adn the soundfont import is amzingly useful. I've been importing some vocal and choral soundfonts and creating some wiiiiiiicked sounds.
I've been trying to make patches for another synth but M42 keeps temptimng me to have a muck about
Smashing and i think underrated synth this, I love it
Bring on the M51

Stayed tuned on SB..the Dr has been working some cool stuff with it...and I have not heard it yet, but should be very inovative with even algorithmic elements built into it.Can't wait myself.vurt wrote:Hunter wrote:
