I never have that, as long as an instrument or effect inspires me enough to get used on one song, it's done its job and I don't really care if I never use it again. Even if I end up replacing it with something else to play live, I buy new things for the inspiration they provide and you can't realistically expect that to last. I think there are only two synths I regret buying - Pigments and Hive. Neither of them lived up to expectations and I never used them on anything. Fortunately, I got both of them stupidly cheap so it was no big deal.foosnark wrote: Mon May 08, 2023 7:08 pm - regret at having bought a bunch of stuff that doesn't get used anymore
But that's just so you've got plenty to smash on stage, surely?Bombadil wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 4:56 pm I think I've bought my last guitar. I've driven myself and my Missus nuts with my guitar obsession. I'm too old for this shit, really.
I think I have 15 guitars. Could be 16.
I bet you write exciting songs. Music is a creative endeavour, it's not book-keeping.FranklyFlawless wrote: Sun May 14, 2023 6:54 amThe pandemic has changed me to become more rational and grateful for the moment. Every intent, thought, word, and decision has more weight now.
