OMG. Hauptwerk 8 just came out. It's not f-ing native, despite them showing an M2 graphic on their image carousel.

Post

Yeah, just checked this out… They expect AS Mac users to run it under Rosetta :dog:

All Soundfingers plugins are AS native:
- BassTone X
- Le Skank
- Heritage Organ

Exonic UK AI MASTER and MegaHertz run natively on M1 Mac.

Seems that the website isn't up to date in this regard though.

* Edit after contacting dev: "PUNCH! is currently not M1 native, but an update is coming in the next few weeks that would fix this. "

Michael Norris's wonderful spectral suite is now Silicon native. From the version history:

"SoundMagic Spectral 1.5
— Recompiled with XCode 13.4.1, for Apple Silicon"

yay! a "secret weapon" for years...

VEP is in release candidate from what I hear. So maybe two months out. I’m still shocked at how stupid they were about this, if they had just had their VEP plug ins ported alone they would have made new converts.
VSL released VEP native. Finally :)

Does the caveat on rosetta vs. native mean that I cannot seamlessly connect Logic running on M1 to a VEP server running on an Intel Mac?

I was hoping I'd extend the life of my Intel Mac as a VEP server.

I have Classic and Evolution plugins running in silicon but not Spectral
Is this fixed yet? - it seems the installers do not install Silicon Native VST3 versions for the Spectral Transform tools
nope. not fixed. i've emailed them every couple of weeks to get an update and to offer to beta test the installers if needed. emailed them yesterday and got this reply:

3.11 has still the problem you noticed earlier.
We have a 3.11.1 which is buggy, and we are working on a 3.12, AAX native...
Looks like if you install the Complete bundle it does install Apple Silicon Native VST3 versions - maybe they silently fixed it?

the VST3 versions were already native but the AUs did not. they still haven't fixed it but in recent email they said it was coming soon.. but they said that 5 months ago too. :)

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t, I’ll check that as soon as I can, probably tomorrow. It wouldn’t make a bit of sense if that was the case.
