Hopefully a more modern modulation assignment system a la Vital, Phaseplant, etc.VENMusica wrote: Fri Sep 08, 2023 8:04 pm Wow I can't even imagine what serum 2 will bring to the table, OG Serum is perfect as is
Maybe a more advanced FX rack system.

Really interested in this. We mainly use Diva and Omnisphere, with some Live's own synths but a great wavetable synth is missing. Yeah Live has one but I dont think its that great in the end. We use it very rarely.
Soft Knees - Live 12, Diva, Omnisphere, Slate Digital VSX, TDR, Kush Audio, U-He, PA, Valhalla, Fuse, Pulsar AUDIO, NI, OekSound etc. on Win11Pro R7950X & RME AiO Pro

Perfect description!martiu wrote: Sat Sep 09, 2023 12:50 pm I really like Serum because it is razor sharp and precise, something i find lacking in PhasePlant and Pigments, they are soft and dull in comparison.

I've been considering the RTO, but I also was mildly worried that a v2 would be a pricey upgrade. the reddits also posed this question directly to steve duda's reddit acct.Samiver wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:07 amIf Steve keeps to his word (which I have no reason to doubt) then as a serum owner rod zero will get serum 2 for free.Agg wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 8:26 pmIf DMG Audio is involved, v2 will cost 378.rod_zero wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 3:22 am I bought Serum through Splice, at the time it was possible to resell it, not its not, so I am stuck with it even if I don't use it much. Updates are always free, that would include a version 2.0, etc.
I don't believe it is ethical to "sell" people on future software (this is known as vaporware).
Serum v2 has not been formally announced - I mentioned I was working on it in a podcast when asked what I was working on. I was promised to get to edit said podcast, but it just went up in whole a couple days later - eventually one learns the meaning of the phrase "never trust the press".
Anyway I couldn't be happier with the progress, which is happening daily, but I don't feel the need to say more on the subject, thanks for understanding.

Yeah I understand why Steve duda does not really advertise this as anything could happen in life and if people invest based on Serum2 should it not happen they might be upset.theviirus wrote: Thu Sep 14, 2023 7:08 pmI've been considering the RTO, but I also was mildly worried that a v2 would be a pricey upgrade. the reddits also posed this question directly to steve duda's reddit acct.Samiver wrote: Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:07 amIf Steve keeps to his word (which I have no reason to doubt) then as a serum owner rod zero will get serum 2 for free.Agg wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 8:26 pmIf DMG Audio is involved, v2 will cost 378.rod_zero wrote: Wed Sep 06, 2023 3:22 am I bought Serum through Splice, at the time it was possible to resell it, not its not, so I am stuck with it even if I don't use it much. I like serum as is and use it in every track, when I found out serum 2 is free I just see it as a nice bonus.

So that is confirmed? If you own Serum 1 (no matter when purchased) Serum 2 is free?Samiver wrote: Sat Sep 16, 2023 6:09 pm

It may sound crazy but I’m more excited for Serum 2 than Zebra 3.
