Hi Vurt, you compulsive poster of over 100,000 (!) posts
about the same number of posts per day as you, actually. but without your need to generate endless new accounts because your pathological behaviour results in you being banned twice a day.
, Geez, I don't know where you find the time. Do they hand out laptops in mental institutions?

I have completed a 'fix' of sorts for the dreadful NKS implementation for Largo 2. It doesn't fix all the bugs of course, and there are still a couple of params that just won't map, but I have corrected the NKS assignments Waldorf messed up and also improved the layout. The original had all 4 layers mapped, even though no params were actually working or even pointing to the right param. For ease of use I have reduced it to 2 layers as it was crazy having so many user pages and most patches just use one layer, only a few even use 2. Also retagged everything and added previews

You could overwrite the factory patches with these, but I expect at some point Waldorf will release an update and it is likely to overwrite anything in the factory location so I recommend putting it in User for now. Hopefully eventually Waldorf will issue their own fixes.

btw they have also not created NKS patches for any of the add-on banks, might get around to doing some of those but it will depend on the ones I like best first.

Thank you. It works.

Just started adding the additional artists sound sets (tagged and with previews), started with Allesandro Cardinale, that’s there now, Rob Lee and DocT on the way. Just keep checking the Waldorf folder in the NKS User Library (in my sig) for updates

When i receive a note about an update i was very nice surprised, immediately go to the buy button...then decide to try the demo first...still waiting that demo and wonder 'Do i really need it in 2024'...???
Made some nice stuff with it,but haven't use it for months and it doesn't miss me much :)
Willing to sell Largo 1.8 for 50 euro if transfer is possible, finally a right moment to sell a license hihihi :):):)

apparently the installer is in the pdf you can download on the license page of your account.

also, i doubt you can sell Largo 1.8 if you use it to upgrade to Largo 2.

Be aware the current path to Largo could be had for about $54. (APD w/TREAT20 code + Waldorf upgrade.) So $50 seems way too much IMO. For myself, after downloading and demoing this latest version, feel it's not really clicking as anything special enough. Even at this reduced price. Don't think I would pay anymore than about $5 for it.
And feel I might regret paying that.

This doesn't feel like a V2, more like a Reskin and a quite bad at that. The Osilactor octave control is just painful to look at, they just threw some vector graphics in the same layout and some big fonts in some places, it is horrible, looks totally rushed. Franfly can't beleieve management took a look at that and said "looks fine to sell it as version 2". Totally minimal effort just to have a resizable GUI.

The only element that looks kind of better are the waveform display.

And the browsers keeps being a mess in the way it reacts.

The original Skin was very good among its contemporary competition, but this one is like a cheap version of serum and vital.

Totally disappointment, Largo is a synth with a unique sound and very good features but always handicapped because of its functionality and old GUI.

Apart from the problems with the skin there are numerous bugs, some params don't allow themselves to be mapped or automated (eg filter drive), the browser will not open a bank unless you right click on it and select open, and then it reverts the GUI to the standard size (they seem to have built the size into presets for some dumb reason)

I know Waldorf mostly for they nice and solid hardware synths, such as the amazing Iridium.

After listening to the demo sounds and examples on their Largo 2, I'm having a hard time to see why someone who's a first time buyer would get this synth, when you have around all these fantastic wavetable monster synths such as Pigments, Vital, Serum, Rapid, Dune 3 and etc & etc. Maybe as an upgrade for someone who's a previous Largo 1 user, but as brand new byer? I really can't see the positives
