Don't forget you can drag and drop .SID files onto the UI and in the EMU tab play back the track in question and then click Grab Last Frame at the appropriate time to rip the currently playing instruments

@davidv@plogue: Any possibility of making the EMU bit its own standalone SID player ? I currently use VSID (part of the VICE collection of executables) as my SID player of choice (previously Sidplay2/w) but to have the realism of this would be amazing !

In a world where I have infinite time of course, but this would be a support drain otherwise.
I made a standalone SDL C64/VIC-20/{Secrets} emulator on windows for internal development. But it works really for me and faster testing of the emulator, no customisation, audio device selection or anything. Maybe someday don't know, but it would need a lot of work to work for everyone.

I should really read the manual. :D
If you plan on purchasing your first Universal Audio hardware, you can get a free additional plugin. Just send a PM.

Reminder: The Emu tab and "Grab frame sequence"/analysis is a bonus experimental feature.
It works OK for many things and not so OK for others.

You could have the mother of all easter eggs if you put a game in there. 😀

Well there _is_ an old-school demo scene intro at least!

Been magic for the games I've thrown at it so far :) Being able to play with the instruments from levels of Platoon and Wizball has been great fun !

Any Last Ninja sounds? Parralax demos?

Nothing that I have seen. I was able to extract that cool gong or bell sound from the Last Ninja wilderness level and replicate it across different synths that have ring mod

Ok, bad news... would love to see how those sounds were made in the SID.

The best you can do is to grab the last frame at the moment the sounds play. There might be trackers that can open SID files.

"[Drums Various]/LN1 Gong" maybe? Its just rather trivial SID ring mod though.

update is now available (also acts as a demo).

v1.004 December 15th 2023
Fixed Step Modulators of size 1 not re-saved properly
8580/6582 summing outs now clip when driven very loudly (certain rare songs showcase this)
Choosing the DIGIFIX-ed 6582 is now more obvious in EMU menus.
Windows AAX64 component was misplaced during the install
Few minor tweaks

Great, bought it. Now I just need native Linux builds for all my Plogue plugins to be totally happy. Oh, and I second the wish for clap support.
