Bought. Could this be the one!

Really amazing job. Triaz is jam packed with features and exudes quality. Not sure who did the DSP, but I hope the platform is easily maintainable and upgradable so it can become the core of a reliable beat ecosystem for years to come.

Woo, exciting stuff!

As a Complete Drums owner: should I install this and start importing folders, or is there some slick integration in the pipeline I should hold out for?

Thanks!

We've packed a serious amount of features and DSP into this plugin. We wanted to create something that can handle every aspect of drum production, including all the creative stuff like simple and intuitive drum layering, creative sequencing / assignable parameter sequencing, drum randomizing, but also really good quality mastering, mixing, sound design tools etc. The included library of sounds alone is several years of work and hundreds of thousands of $ in recording costs. I hope you have fun with it :tu:

Loop Slicing would be nice to have some day.
Having Sample Slicing would really complete the package for me! I didn't think of Triaz playing in that category, because with the 3 samples per track it feels a bit different than those drum VST which focus on sample slicing. Btw. I really like the Apisonic Speedrum workflow on this and will likely use both complementary (and be happy about the very generous 15.000 sample library that comes with Triaz!).

This is what the next NI Battery should have been.. but they (NI) are too late now.

Edit: Tried the demo and like what they have done. A missed opportunity (imho) is no mousewheel control over sequencer stuff like swing, velocity etc.

I am sticking with XO though.

For now, just drag all the sample pack 'folders' from within Complete Drums 2 (Drum Tools 02, Syncussion Drums etc) into the following location 'Triaz / User Samples' (this user samples folder is located in the location where you placed the Triaz content when running the Content Installer. Then open Triaz, click the 'Refresh button' next to the search filed in the browser and all those pack names will now show up on the left of the browser under the 'user samples' section. The tags on the right will now also show the first two layers of folder structure, and the samples will be revealed on the samples list just like the factory samples are.

For an update we will add a sample import menu like XO for example, where you can link locations to the browser. You can do this already if you know how to use symbolic links, but we'll of course add this as an update. There was only so much we could fit in in V1, and didn't want to delay the release more than we already have done :D

We will also make our most popular packs fully expansion ready for Triaz too. with installers just like the factory content.

Thanks, we've had quite a few comments like this from beta testers, and users since release, which is nice to hear :)

I've been using drum machines (hardware and software) extensively for years and we made Triaz because there was nothing that could handle drum production well (IMO) without the need to use several different VSTs and faffing around with routing different plugins to other plugins etc. Most seem to focus on 2-3 aspects well (or are just very gimmicky) but omit many other important aspects of drum production or do things in a non intuitive way. I'm also a long time Elektron hardware user so we had to reimagine parameter lock sequencing for Triaz since that's an incredibly powerful feature for creating movement and interest.

We also put a lot of effort into the DSP and quality of the DSP in Triaz too, which is an area where most other software drum machines seriously lack in my experience. For example we are using a completely customized version of Fircomp2 for compression, which IMO is one of the best software compressors ever created for clean, punchy, accurate compression, and replaced my hardware Elysia Mpressor :D

Everything else is all custom built, some by Jon, who made Fircomp2, and some by other DSP developers.

There is definitely room for improvement in some areas, like smart sequencer randomization / pattern browsing etc, which we couldn't fit in for V1, but I think for a V1 things are really good :tu:

Really appreciate how much you invested into good FX + Master Chain. With that you don't have to rely on DAW / external FX to create your drums sound!

Do you have any estimations when this will become available? I'd be definitely interested in this.

Drumvolution you can import now very easily (likewise with any 3rd party sample pack from us or Splice etc) . Revolution will be a separate native plugin, with 42 new drum machine emulations. The reason being that uses very complex mappings, and thousands of samples for round robin, velocity, and controls from the original machines. It deserves a separate engine where we can also release drum machine expansions.

Drumvolution you can easily import now into Triaz with tagging. We offer the wav files from Drumvolution to all customers who own it. Just download those from your account area on our site (under Drumvoluton / Additional downloads).

For best results (since Drumvolution has a lot of Tagging), just drag the Clean, Tape 1 and Tape 2 folders into the 'Triaz / User Samples' folder and then maybe change the name of those 3 folders to Revolution Clean, Drumvolution Tape 1, Drumvolution Tape 2 so you know what they are. Then hit refresh in the sound browser in Triaz and they will show up with tagging and much better than Drumvoloution itself even :D

This just took me a few secs to do:

You can already do this now (also with any 3rd party sample pack). We just don't yet have installers and you have to manually copy the sample packs to the Triaz / User Samples folder. It takes just a second and is very easy to do. See my reply above with Drumvolution as an example.

Thanks, we are really happy with how the Master FX turned out. You can get some serious punchy and clarity using it :tu:

Fantastic, I have both as Live packs currently (as I didn't want to use the Kontakt player) so this seems perfect (even more perfect if upgrade from Revolution Live to standalone :-))

GreyLion wrote: Fri Feb 16, 2024 2:52 am Minor activation issue for me, I think?

The activation pop-up wouldn't let me click into either the email or Serial# fields.

I mucked around until I clicked on the double-square icon at the end of the Serial# field, and it pasted in the Serial# that I'd copied to clipboard. After I did the same with the squares at the end of the email field, it pasted in the Serial# again, and I could click into that to type my email address.

Activation was instantaneous then. I haven't played with Triaz yet, but it looks nice.

This is on a Win10 machine in S1 V6.5. YMMV, as usual.
We've not had any other reports of this, so it very likely has to be a very system specific kind of thing. Feel free to reach out to support via our website and we can get some more details from you and get this resolved on your system

Great news, when this is planned? Will there be an offer for existing owners?

We can't yet give away a release date for the new Revolution, since we have a lot to do still. But it will be coming :tu:

Yes, there will be cross-grade offers for Revolution Kontakt users for Revolution native. We won't be able to give that out for free like the Triaz native update, since the amount of work creating Revolution native is insane, and with a different feature set and all totally brand new sounds (no sounds from Revolution are in included in the new Revolution native version - we re-did everything from scratch and added tons more machines.) :tu:
